Remember that time when you couldn't stack attack modifiers. You had to choose : diffusal OR lifesteal OR skady OR deso. Ans certain heros couldn't use any because of their passive, like weaver, anti-mage (magina) or wraith king (leoric).
And abyssal blade used to deal 100 damages lmao.

@@arslaanpasha3334 to not allow them to swap/hook enemies on cliffs or inescapable parts of the map. There was a time also when a hero was put on the cliff (due to Clock’s cogs or Rubick’s lift for instance) he had like 2-3 seconds where he could actually walk down and escape

i got into dota 2 around 2014, and it was my first introduction to the Moba genre. but seeing the warcraft 3 reforged version i cant wait to see how the remastered dota 1 feels.

what I miss seeing is how different each range intel heroes shoot; in dota 2 it is almost the same (rylai, lich, nature prophet, rubick...)
While some models may have their good and bad perspectives in Dota 1 and 2, AM in Dota 2 is always stupid af... DH in Warcraft 3 is probably one of the best character Blizzard has ever created.
The voicelines music heroes creeps everything in Warcraft 3 is legendary and the most unique hero was Illidan or Terorblade and my favorite...i loved this game with all my heart just listening to the music and heroes makes me wanna go play it again.
When I saw Razor I shouted "TREEEEEEEEEEEEMBLEEE BEFORE THE SCOURGE"

The character design of Dota 2 is so incredibly good. I love how some characters are modern reinterpretations from the old model, while others are complete redesign and some are "what the original character was supposed to be" like Zeus.

@@nikolakarapejevski The guys at Valve individualized the characters a lot. And brought them in one consistent style. Some look better some worse but for the most part I think they did better.
Especially I think the scale of the characters is fitting much more now. I think nostalgia got the better of you.

It should be noted that some DotA 1 Heroes' models were not originally in WarCraft III, and instead were either ported in or custom-made for DotA (for example, Phantom Lancer was based on one of those blue cat-people from Final Fantasy, and then we of course have Leoric from Diablo...). I think fans might end up porting in Leoric's Diablo III model for DotA 1 Reforged. :D

I remember playing defence of the ancients on battlenet for Warcraft 3 years ago when I was a kid with a load of other player made games like all star arena and vampire hunter. Found out years later that that old custom game I'd played had become a huge independent MOBA esports game. Weird.

I only got to play WC3 and the original DotA game. Never got into the whole DotA 2 hype but I'm hoping for a revival of the RTS through WC3: Reforged.

The artwork for dota 1 is so much nicer though less advanced graphics. It doesn't require a mask (Dota 2 has many face masks on some hideous looking heroes) to cover the character's face as its actually nice.

Reminds me of the good old days...Nothing will ever even come close to the magic that W3 and Dota were. Also, the models are kind of waaay off, some of them reforged, some of them totally whacked.

not really. IceFrog has no intention on keeping the development of Dota 1 (he has stopped developing Dota 1 since 6.83, that's almost 6+ years ago). The current Dota 1 is currently developed by DracoL1ch, and he said to us that he has no intention on migrating Warcraft 3 Reforged as the current Dota 1 version requires to run on 1.26 (as the memory hacks run only on that Warcraft version, and Reforged is at 1.33+). I'll ask him personally if he has plans for the new version.

Guys don’t confuse Dota 1 characters from Warcraft 3 campaign characters. They aren’t the same. For example, balanar should be coloured blue or violet. Some we’re same appearance some aren’t.

it depends if blizzard will allow mods like the original wc3 in reforged, if so, then someone could possibly make a dota custom map in reforged
They redesigned some heros completely different cause they were tied to original warcraft main story heros.Blizzard probably put Valve under pressure.

@@zakatara dota wasn't made by blizzard. dota was just a map for the game. the only reason valve can't take those sounds is because they don;t own the rights to do so. that's why many hero name changes and items. they are not allowed to use anything related to warcraft because blizzard realised how much money they lost by not supporting icefrog with his map.
