Vent Note ( No Offense or Anything, Please Don't Hate Me )
Looking at how others got better communities and audiences even if they aren't as good as I am. I'm perfect being able to do almost anything, have everything better than them but what I lack is what they have. I have the talent, knowledge and perfect skills but no one loves me. They get loved even if their skills are lower than mine. They have everything that I lack, that I want crave. Appreciation, for everyone just left me, doesn't appreciate me, don't love what I do because I'm a failure. No matter how hard I tried for all these years it hurts so many times seeing my goals drift so far from me each day. I just wanted to reach higher, more people. I wanted to share and entertain them with my creations and what I love but I wasn't interesting as they were. Oh how I've envied people along the way. I'm selfish, greedy, envious and the worst. I loved myself too much I failed to see those who've supported me for so long that they drifted away, I failed to open my eyes back then.
I've tried fixing my mistakes but there's no one there anymore for me to reach out to. No one, they all left me to others. I failed to make an entertaining and comfortable community for them, I failed to do what I can do now but not back then, it's the results of my failure. I just wanted to love people, be loved. Entertain and be appreciated. I want what others have that I don't, I want to be perfect. Every time they enter my circle I get so insecure and afraid of abandonment and end up pushing everyone away. They all end up going to the other people’s spotlight that was brighter than mine.
But I accept the reality, things like this takes time. My journey may take years but I’ll reach it someday, every road comes to an end. I still have people that support me, my friends and family. Even if I see them as my competitor at times, we still share the same pain, goals, and interests. As hard as it is, I’ve come too far too far. I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused to those who tried helping me, I’m sorry I was annoying. I’m sorry I pushed everyone away. I’m sorry for envying and hating you all. I’m sorry for being unfair. I’m sorry for making it look like I was thinking so lowly of you all.

im not going to lie. i definitely know what you’ve been going through, and it’s a shitty feeling in general. fame is composed mostly of talent, could be art, singing, or anything else. the other parts are luck; you could be bad at something you do, but getting fame only depends on the community you’re in and what they want to see.
just keep doing what you love, draw whatever you want and whatever makes you happy and proud of your art! i personally adore your art, and the effort put into your work is outstanding. you’ll be okay!! /gen /lh /nm

Tbh I never really realized that you felt like this. I've thought to myself that you were the best animator I've ever known, and that you were underrated as hell, because you deserve more than what is shown. I felt similar feelings with other people I knew, and I felt that my work wasn't really gonna go anywhere and I should just quit. Even though my skill isn't the best, I still continue what I do, because I love to draw and animate.
I hope you can continue what you love doing most, and if you feel like you aren't getting recognized as you should be, just remember there are loyal fans excited for everything you make, no matter what it is, and wish for more amazing content from you.

Zel, i can say- and i truly mean it- that you are very talented, good and underrated person. I can imagine how it feels having such a big talent, even better than most adults do, but having only this much of subs or support. You DESERVE more. More support. More love. More fans. Ok so I kno this vid is on the older side now, and you’ve gotten a lot of comments about it I’m sure, but I figure I should bring up a couple things:
- it’s ok to be jealous. Genuinely. Just try not to let it consume you. You see big numbers and “worse” artists doing better and it stings but the simple truth is that they got picked up by RUclips’s algorithm and that’s as simple as that. It’s not your fault or theirs.
- There is no such thing as “better” or “worse” art in terms of talent. If art makes you feel something, react, etc, it did it’s job. For animations, If you connect with the characters, it did its job. Sometimes that can be done with an appealing design, other times it can be done through excellent visual storytelling.
- try try TRY to keep in mind and remember; it’s NOT a competition. I know seeing those numbers and all the shit RUclips does on the backend really makes you feel like you’re not doing as hot but it’s not like watching your video blocks them from watching other people’s animations. There’s no competition to be had. Boosting others boosts yourself as well.

You are a really talented animator and artist, and it's not cause your lacking or that your not cared about with in the community. It's more like small children like repetition. Some of the creators that get alot of views are people the either use a same style or are making videos about a popular fandom. I'm not saying you need to stoop to their level, cause if you keep doing what you're doing now then for sure you'll get far, while the other method gets' you a lot of views fast and easy, it's not stable cause eventually there will be a change in the viewers, and they'll find something else that they like. So I say keep it up, do what you want and your fans will follow.

I appreciate the backstory and animation here, ALSO THE USE OF BRIGHT COLORS?? A lot of popular animators literally only do lazy tweening, always eye-stinging disco light backgrounds and 0 (evident) backstory whatsoever and put like, a black square over the face and call it a day. This is refreshing and I love it

I feel that a lot. I’m not good at animation-not yet-but I do think I’ve finally reached a point with my normal art where I can sit back and say “Yeah, Okay. Im good at this!”
And yet, my work gets like. 20 likes per post. Algorithms tend to value quantity over quality, too, which makes it hard for people to put in the time it takes to make something beautiful and actually get recognized for it. I try not to worry about it, but I can’t shake the feeling that this is going to be an issue with my writing as well. I know I have good ideas but every time I try to truly write them, I get paralyzed by fear, because I have seen incredible works fail only for lesser works to do fantastic.
It’s interesting to see someone be so open about jealousy, and relieving to see that the comments are mostly supportive rather than angry. I feel like jealousy is demonized a little bit too much. It’s a normal, valid emotion that everyone feels. Jealousy is painful enough to deal with without adding guilt to the mix.
Anyways I hope things get better, I love your art!
Edit: Also, could I eventually do an enemy meme inspired by this one? I love the format and kind of sketchy-in-some-parts style, I think it portrays frustration really well, and the spotlight part is amazing
