Chris said the bigger machine was out of his budget when looking at them. Transport is a big consideration as well. Unavoidable expense and fewer flatbeds available to call.
I know Chris is an honest guy, yet I don't totally buy the "budget" thing. His budget is really a number he wants to pay, not a number that would preclude him from buying anything he wants. But his also practical, and the 330 will likely be the best business decision. @@glennspreeman1634
When I saw the flash of lightning, I immediately went back to the day when you had some lightning occur while you were building the pond. You weren't that far from where you were today! That would be something if you did smell the smoke from your house. Thanks for sharing, Chris. I love that you show it isn't all sunshine and soft, easily dug dirt. Can't wait for the next installment!
I can’t wait to see which excavator you decided to buy and see it in action. Y’all definitely needed the rain in your area. We’ve gotten more rain here in Western Kentucky lately than I can ever remember for this time of year. One guy to the north of where I live and closer to the Ohio River said he got 14 inches in one storm a few weeks ago. It damaged two main roads that had never been damaged in my lifetime that I can remember.
The LetsDig18 fires are indestructible and beautiful. An opportunity opened and the dust got settled. Interesting that the pond is going to be enlarged - good idea for this spot. Roads coming along nicely.
The grader sure is the ticket for spreading stone. Chris makes it look so easy. With all those levers I am sure I would make one heck of a mess before it is all over. Love seeing another burn pile going up in flames.

It's so satisfying watching the dirt/ gravel roll off the graders blade thanks for the great shot. And I must say I really enjoy watching you operate any piece of equipment and thanks for the videos
I enjoy watching you operate the FG grader, it seems to handle whatever you put in front of it. Is it a high HP machine? I guess just enough. Great job on the roads!
Another great video of the addition to one of Chris's Earth Portrait's. Thank you Chris for sharing your work with us. It is such a pleasure to watch you use your Earth Tools to transform earth into some stunning pictures. Work Safe and we all will be looking forward to some more very good Videos.
Dang looking great. I wish these folks here close to where I live had your skills. No wonder why Mr. Beally uses only you damn your work is priceless. I just shared your videos and channel on Truth social.
Man, I wish I was good as you are on that motor grader I enjoy watching you on that grader. Maybe someday I’ll learn more about the grading and how to operate better.
Hey Chris just how safe is it sitting in that huge lightning rod during a thunderstorm?…asking for a friend. I’m going to go out on a limb and say he’s going to get the 330
I think I recall that you ordered the second Volvo 220 while working there for Mr.B. Good. And now you bought another excavator while again working for Mr. B. Good . I think I’d like to see if I could work for him too and find the rewards that you have! LOL….. take care Chris.
Soon as it started to rain I thought, “Chris is going to burn for sure”. Fire & rain in one video, just need to know which excavator you have chosen & it will be a good day🤣😊
Hi Chris was that lightning I saw ? Remember your not sitting on rubber tracks lol if your not careful you might look like Don king lol I have to say awesome vid take care stay safe G.Whyte
Chris I love watching you burn stuff letsdig18 cooking with diesel! When do we get to see your new machine my friend? And also did u go with the bigger bucket? The suspense is torture!
Did I understand correctly…that you are going to increase the size of the pond? Is it b3cause you need the material or just a bigger pond looks better?
The people of North Carolina are asking is that smoke from Canada, naw that’s Chris at it again. I think Chris picked the Kobelco 350 as his new machine. He was leaning on it as he was closing out his video. Just my guess. Chris did you enjoy your self operating all the equipment of the past?
This did that grader come with the main cylinder control both on the right side or did you change it that way? Every grader I’ve been on the outside on left and right does the main cylinders
Any advice on purchasing a Gehl z80 with 1500 hrs? I’ve ran Takeuchi and Link Belt most of my life so I’m not familiar with the Gehl. Price seems very reasonable so I’m kinda suspicious. Kinda know the guy selling, he maintains the equipment per manufacturer specs. Currently have the truck, trailers and skid steer just need the excavator to round out my business.
Have you had any problems with the volvo excavators? Emissions? I have a new 326 next gen caterpillar... it's junk won't stay running for anything... caterpillar is swapping it out with a brand new one they are tired of working on it.. thinking about trading the new one on a 250 volvo.... I do land clearing in Florida..
I have a question I hope someone could tell me if it bad or normal my dad a mini ex and when I’m turning and stop to drop the dirt make a sound under the cab And one more thing when the arm in air and I push it moves a little is that normal or is it bad?!! I hope someone could at least let me know if is it bad thank you
Wow, Mother Nature is working with you instead of against you for once. Perfect weather for gravel all morning and then perfect weather for an old style LD18 burn. Nice!!! Even the machine is timing it's needs for regen at optimal time. You must have been doing something right lately Chris. I must say the road is coming beautifully. I have lived on gravel for a long time and I have seen good gravel roads and then moved to places with bad gravel roads. With how you do it, those folks will be very happy because when you do them, you do it right. Crazy how many ways to screw it up taking short cuts, but not you. Well done young man.
It may not have been in the direction you thought your day was going at first, but this is still solid progress, and actually, I don't remember seeing you able to get rid of burn piles with quite that size of a safety margin before, so I reckon that counts as a lucky break. A good productive day you had there sir. Be well.😉
Like the videos and content. I am from the old days like your drag line. I en joy learning how the new equipment is. At 73 I ll not be working like you do. The videos are great, and the quality is even better. Thank you.
You are living the dream of every boy inside his older self. Get to drive real Tonka trucks and equipment, play with fire, and even get paid while doing it. No wonder you have so many subscribers. Keep up the good work.
Good thing it downpoured the way it did so you could see how exactly the water flowed up where you're going to put in the cast iron pipe. Will make a difference and you know exactly how to grade the swales and dig the ditches.
Oh Chris I would give anything for that rain 113 here today another record and no rain for months. Cool front tomorrow only 108. Always nice to watch the road grader spread some stone. Looks so effortless. Your fires are and inferno even in the pouring rain.
Still wouldn't mind a time-lapse video of those burn piles after starting them to when you wrap up in an evening. Just to watch the build up and burn down that you actually do with these.
The camera view under the grader looking back at the blade is real cool and special view. Gives an insight on how the gravel is evenly distributed by the blade. The grader has always been my favorite tool even growing up playing with my Tonka truck dozer and grader.
Looks really good so far Chris glad to see all is going well also am glad that you are all done tearing down trees that means you don't have to worry about busting another windshield thanks for sharing your videos I love to watch Clifford,❤ Muncie, Indiana
330 or 350? My notion is that Chris will go with the 330 because it is easier to transport. But I bet his heart is with the bigger machine.
350 bigger counterweight for that bucket
Chris said the bigger machine was out of his budget when looking at them. Transport is a big consideration as well. Unavoidable expense and fewer flatbeds available to call.
I'm betting chris goes with the 350, less hours and bigger machine..

Watching rock roll off the grader blade is hypnotic. Did your pond fill up?
It's so satisfying watching the dirt/ gravel roll off the graders blade thanks for the great shot. And I must say I really enjoy watching you operate any piece of equipment and thanks for the videos
There's something quite mesmerising and almost organic in the way the stone rolls off the grader blade. Love it!

We've had that kind of rain over here since the end of June :-)
At the end of the video it seems like the pond is everywhere now! 😅
Love when you put the camera on the blade!

Turned out all right and you got your fire. Not one but two good stuff. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦🔥🔥
12:47 to 15:42 does a great job of showing how a grader works!

Chris you always happy when you get to burn this has been a perfect,Good job on the cearing , Thank you for your channel🇺🇸👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good job Jon. You did a fine job to bee so green.
You should have each dump truck stop by the pond and you take a bucket or two of water 💧 and put on them. That would make some nice compaction.
