The Story of Uzi

  • In any game, there are names that transcend the titles, the highlights, the moments. Names that defied the odds and defined competition. Names that will triumphantly echo through the ages. Names that will never be forgotten.
    Uzi’s name is already etched in the League of Legends history books. He was a mechanical genius in the game’s early days and was the first player to make consecutive World Finals. He was the poster child for his country’s esports scene, the face of China’s belief that it could challenge Korea.
    Today, Uzi is the face of a new movement. China doesn’t need to believe they can challenge Korea anymore - they’ve proven that they can.
    This is his story.

    I think League needs a Hall of Fame, just like professional sports, to recognize players even though they haven't won championships. I feel like that would give them something else to look forward too as well.

      He was so calm at that time. That's the key info for them to take down the ADC of KZ and to win the match with a 6K economy lag. The accuracy could be proved if you check the inventory of KZ. PraY.

    Are we not gonna say the fact that Phong Vu Buffalos from Afreeca's and G2's group took a game off the Flash Wolves which gave G2 a chance to make it out of groups in a tiebreaker match which G2 of course won. Lets hypothesize here, If Phong Vu lost to Flash wolves, Flash would've ended 4-2 and G2 esports 3-3, with Afreeca taking 1st in a tiebreaker match, giving the second seed to the flash wolves, and in G2 place in the quarterfinals, RNG would've faced against Flash wolves with RNG winning and face iG in a probable 5 game series with RNG winning it letting them steamroll to the cup. the fact that phong vu got gave g2 a chance to make it out of groups and with g2 beating RNG in game 5 in quarters astonishes me.

    • @dazh686
      @dazh686 2 года назад

      Yep, PVB played spoiler and they helped G2 to qualify to quarterfinals. I think whether RNG had faced FW or AFs if the draw would have gone the same way (have to say it, the events would have completely changed, not another hour to play the tiebreaker, for example, it was going to result in a different draw), RNG would have won that, another thing that may have changed everything, it's if RNG had banned Alistar, the only champion G2 supp could play effectively, if they'd have done that, they may have won 3-1, losing that, it gave momentum to G2.
      On the other hand, iG improved through the tournament, from the side of RNG, top and mid reached their limit, mentally as well, it'd probably have been a close series against iG, but, iG may have ended up winning this time. Teams that improve or impose the meta, always end up winning the World Championship, with RNG gone, iG also was the best fast paced team left in the tournament, a reason why they outclassed both EU teams.
