I spent a long layover in San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador, on a recent trip down to Nicaragua.
Everyone said San Salvador was dangerous and violent - so what was the experience really like? Here are the highlights from my time in the city.

My North American boyfriend went there with me! He has traveled to 27 countries he told me El Salvador was the most under rated place he stepped foot in he also felt very safe!!!! Thank you for posting this it means a lot!

Our pacific coast is something that you shouldn't miss plus another volcanoes views like Ilamatepec and its green lagoon (an amazing view). yes, you are right, seeing is believing. in 2016, i went to a certain place in china and the news report here was that it was dangerous and violent, with police and soldiers everywhere. i actually emailed an american who lived there and asked for his opinion. he said it was very safe, so i went and had a great time, only saw soldiers in the downtown famous place, none elsewhere. planning to go there again next time. love from canada.
This always happens. I'm always happy to experience a place for myself and look forward to revisiting San Salvador to discover more in the future

I went to Managua one time about twenty years ago. The greatest thing about Nicaragua was the warmth of the people.

It's hard to explain, the Matrix has just become too huge to see, people wear masks as if it was just another t-shirt, and they take proud selfies and talks on videos with masks hiding over half of their faces. One day you'll see it, and this video will probably be hard for you to look back at (that day), but until then there's little I can explain, it's just creepy to see how so easily obedient and compliant people to something so negative.
