- Just get my new canon lens 50mm 1.4 and recorded a song for my favorite band! As you noticed ... the audio sucks because i recorded directly to the microphone input the audio of the sound module. I recorded the song several times to get different angles ... maybe next time i will do it better ... :D

Ha! Looks like the TD30Ks finally met their match! I've heard all different kinds of drummers playing in completely different styles and so far, the Roland TD30Ks have been able to keep up with them. So much so that I've been completely impressed and amazed at how far electronic drums have come in the past decade. Until now... Listening to this it is clear that they simply cannot keep up. Amazing drumming by the way. I've been playing for nearly 30 years and I've always had a deep respect for this style of percise and quite strenuous drumming. Not onl;y does it take serious musical ability and concentration, it actually takes a hefty toll on your stamina! Anyway, the Rolands have finally met their match and I am confident in saying that some drumming styles simply cannot be reproduced effectively on electronic kits - or should I say, non-acoustic kits. I can actually hear the power and strength of his playing being restrained within the boundaries of the kits parameters. Don't get me wrong, the Roland TD30KVs are amazing drums and I would absolutely LOVE to have a kit of my own in my house, but for some drummers; those very few, the digital just can't keep the pace. Those who have that unique and amazing ability to strike with such force yet still produce a graceful and melodic sound. So many others terrible bashing and pounding yields nothing more than a stomach ache in your ears; however, when done correctly as it was here, it can be something amazing. Cheers!
Finally the snare sounds right in the 'Enemy Inside' :D
Dude! GREAT work!! I'm doing my research to possibly buy a TD30KV until I get my studio in our basement finished (long project) and this just sold me on it. Huge DT fan and here you are killing it with the kit I'm looking into! Great playing!
Woo, really impressive, great job. I'm loving those custom shells too
The kick sounds incredible.
You killed it, man! Really jealous of your set as well - that thing is a beauty!
That was amazing bro! I used to get flack for using Roland drums. You just knocked it out of the park with this!
"Aih lindo!!!!!!! Ficas tão monito quando estás concentrado". Bombástico my friend! Grande abraço
Nice job man. I saw them back in March and they opened with this. Mangini is killing.
Amazing Bro. I am impressed with the tone of the TD-30 and the way it picks up the different intensities of the stick impact.
Great job man. You killed it. The kit sounds great.
Great cover! Keep up the good work. I love the wrap on the shells.
The fact that this song is roughly played in spongebob. Just noticed, for the beginning at least... You're amazing
That was awesome! (... and diggin' your shell wraps, too)
FANTASTIC JOB DUDE!!!!!!! I've been playing drums for 30 years now, road bands for 25 years. Been looking into getting a set of V Drums for ease of set up, etc. They sound awesome!! I'm hooked!! ;)
Nice Cover! You audio seems to have the same issues I had a while back. I found if I record the performance as a pattern, I could play the pattern back and adjust the mix with the faders on the module to get better sound. Also, if you are playing the song with the MP3 playing off the USB you will get that fade in and out of the sound. For some reason the module can not process all the sound and make it clean. I take the song and my performance as separate tracks and layer them in audacity. I adjust the balance of the mix and save it as an mp3. This can then be layered with your video in whatever program you use. Its a bit of a pain to do, but you get pretty good audio this way.
Brutal Filipe! Já só falta virares para os teclados, porra, tocas tudo bem!!! Grande abraço!
Wow! I just took all my hats off to you sir!!
yeah you can tell it's recorded from the mic from stick noise but it really doesn't sound bad at all. might add a certain layer of grit, gives it something extra. all of the sound is balanced wonderfully. love it!
You did a hell of a job, Filipe! Nice chops!
Holy Mother of God. Dude. You are amazing.
The talent lies in the scarf. That’s what we’ve been lacking....
Dude wtf?!?! YEAH!! Fucking flawless! Portnoy himself should be impressed. Jealous of the skills and the kit keep it up bro!!
+T AN I doubt it, rather Mangini would ;)
I'm not up with my Dream Theater but I was like is this pre or post Portnoy...regardless he and mike should be impressed cuz that dude nailed it!
Awesome dude! This kit is just blowing my mind now. I have a Yamaha DTXtreme IIs. It's old, but it still makes a lot of the "new" kits look like crap. This Roland though blows my kit away. I also love the wood grain wraps you have with the toms here. Time to start saving up. I must have this kit.
I'll gladly put up with the microphone for drumming this godly!
AWESOME!! great Filipe!
Awesome playing!
I must say you play quite wonderfully. And I can see that much work goes into playing this style.
Even though I no longer 'play out', I am interested in the TD-30KV module/set.
This electronic set certainly seems to be one that could be used 'playing out' without reservation at all.
-->I am coming from a TD-8 which I thought was not too bad.
-->I can hear that much in the way of advances have occurred
Thanks for the post!!
Great kit Great drummer :-) I like your cover man :-)
Flawless...well done!!
This is truly amazing, great job man!
Sick man. This is awesome.
Great camera angles man. I love the shell wrap!
That's some serious talent
Amazing cover
Sweet job!
Yeah buddy!!! Much love from NMCD
REALLY impressive!
AWESOME dude! god damn that was nice!
Fckin flawless dude! Nailed it!
Wow awesome.
Excellent!
Awesome!
nice job man!
Great!!
Solid!
excelente
Your drumming this with a lot more feeling and groove than magnini!!!!!!
that's great ! good joob :-)
very good
Awesome job Filipe!
What's the PD-8 used for? As a pad switch or additional instrument?
Yo quiero tener esa!!
Hello, very nice job ! It's crazy :)
Only one question, the patch on your bass drum is a good thing for to control the rebound ?
Great performance! What kind of sounds did you use? Was it a standard drum kit, or a customized user kit?
+CyberIllusions Yes! It´s a customized kit! :)
Hey,
Can you make a link to Instagram, where you show how you modify de PD85?
Is it posible to change the wrap on it? It looks great and i'm looking for a long time to somthing what you have greated :-)
Where did you buy that wrap?
Great drumming by the way!
Hope to hear/read something.
Great Fills,
Remko
(the Netherlands)
Nice scarf

What's the story on that accordion in the background? Looks like a highly modified Moog ...
You are the f*ckin best man....
YES!!!!
Out of curiosity, how physically loud are those drums (namely the snare and cymbals)?
Wondering if they're reasonably quiet enough for playing in a bedroom with the door closed.
hy! you can find some videos on youtube of the natural sound of these drums :) I play as my wife sleeps :D
+Filipe Teixeira Well, are you sure youre wife is still alive? ;) Even my neighbours try to kill me when I play...
How are the rims of the toms set to be cymbals?
NIce cover. How did you modify the PD-85?
What settings did you use on your potato to record this?
=D
"$60 tablet from eBay"
Where have you bought the boiler films for the pads?
Didn't know Michael Fassbender played drums
I had the chance to play one of these today, and was surprised just how much like an acoustic they are.
I'm really tempted to buy one, because I can't have loud drums because of neighbors etc.
Can you honestly learn how to play this set (td30kv), and it'd be easily transferrable to a real kit?
While I havent played on a roland kit with mesh heads for a long period of time, I do have a yamaha with rubber pads. In the end, as long as you keep your hands moving I dont think you should have trouble transferring between the two. I did notice that the mesh heads were very responsive and so you dont have to play very hard. Just be careful and make sure to practice with a pillow or incorporate some full out playing so you dont lose the "muscle memory" with the larger muscle groups while playing.
Awesome! is t a VST? or is it just a set up?
Gabriel Seri it’s just the soud module :)
@@flats83 thanks!
This is a great set. and a great player. but the toms on electro sets never sound quite right to me. They don't get the stroke blend right. (when a drum head is already been hit and is still ringing and you hit it again you don't get the exact same sound as the first hit)
Awesome!can you try Death-Symbolic?
but why can't you pick a good death song?
:)
Is this sound 30kv module put in right?
Tell me foot sound kit sounds awful
I mean----- I wish I could do that.
Great cover bro! the high-hat sound annoyed me a bit tho
Your drumming is good, My only criticisim is the machine gun effect the drums have, There are no dynamics. Again, its not you, it's the kit. Get Steven Slate Platinum 4 and than do this piece again.
If i strike these drums real hard (as i do on my acoustic kit) does it damage the pickup in any way?
+Eden tification They're built to be hit.
+Edeniobennettsque If have a td15 and its very durable, unless you throw it off your balcony it'll probably last you for a decade
BOOM8883 Haha alright
What is the average price of this battery?
4500€
Your feet are faster than my hands :>( 30 years of drumming down the drain, i quit
Modify the PD-85 :) it´s simple! Follow me on my instagram, i have a foto there that explains it :)
Thanks. I'll work on getting the comments translated. Nice job on the conversion.
Como faco pra te achar no instagram?
Claudio Moreno Hey! vasta procurar por Filipe Teixeira :)
I can do that.
All that work and you recorded the room audio with a potato
He's better than Bob Knuth
Great job! Lose the scarf, get more respect! ;-)
play with cymbals or crashs it's not tempo sometimes. You made tempo always on step, but the tempo's it's not true like that. You're bad play of cymbals or crashs. Just opinion
good cover, but the kit sounds awful
you rock! but recording is awful.
good cover, but the kit sounds awful
