Awesome build. I think my play style matches your own so looking forward to this. I get a lot of lag been in NZ so having a shield on both bars is also super helpful for not getting caught out.
Love it thanks. Former magplar PvP player...have been trying out a sorc build and thought it was difficult at first but now having fun. Will give your recommendations a try.
I’m rolling 15 times in a row with 7x well fitted + arcane alacrity + survival instincts proc’d with death dealers fete on my Magsorc lmaoo. Rolling is still so underrated. I get 2200 mag recov and 1952 Stam recov with mine, 30k hp, 25k Stam and 45k mag at 30 stacks of death dealers with 3 shields back bar.
i would recommend using the maelstrom resto staff on back bar defending trait. Or blackrose resto staff powered trait and make sure you have both wards.
Could I get an opinion? My mag sorc runs something like this: 5x Alfiq (armor) 5x Lich (2 jewelry, 1 armor, resto) 3x Willpower (1 jewelry, inferno) Gaze of Sithis Breton Max Mag - 40k SD(buffed) - 3600 Recovery (without/with lich) - 1700/2800 Health (in Cyro) - 28k
I would drop willpower for domihaus shoulder and a masters inferno staff lich on jewlery.... or even better run balorghs on head and shoulders = turn into a god.
You should try swapping out the Willpower & Marauder's for Trainee. You'll lose about 300 Mag on the front bar and 129 regen on the backbar but you'll gain 1400 health which will increase your shields slightly, just a thought.
@@pigeontology Not a bad idea and I might try that with this build. Willpower's staff still only gives you a 2-piece bonus of 1750 ish max mag, while a 2-piece Trainee gives you 1450 max health and 1450 max mag since it has a 1 & 2 piece bonus. So I'd still do that even if you want to use Sithas.
This is interesting. I always wanted to know the highest possible Magicka you can obtain. I personally prefer a little more sustain and health but that's just me.
magicka dawnbreaker sorc is back in the walking flame dlc with the changes to the light armor passive concentration it now does spell AND physical pen.....its so much fun using dambreaker again on my mag sorc....dawnbreaker hits hard af with a max magicka build i got45k max magicka and my dawnbreaker tool tip is 32k total damage. they dont expect the magicka sorc dawnbreaker.
Any suggestions for proc sets instead of a mix and match head and shoulders? A lot people are running gaze of Sithis, which I’m glad you are not using it as a go to for this build because I don’t like the idea of not blocking with the 0 block mitigation
That bringes me to an idea. A really maxed out pvp ball grp should try to run 1 stam healer, especially since the new patch U30, because Negate is like the most dangerous threat to a ball grp.
Pro tip...you don't need a spammable. Streak is your spammable. Look to replace Crushing shock with endless Execute. It's more damage also more sorcerer bonuses. Unless your using broken overload light attack( heavyattack overload needs a buff) your mid range fighter not a max range sorcerer. Making offense Streak better.
What set would you recommend for more dmg wise rather than max magicka? Or does max magicka just do more dmg? I was thinking about using dark convergence set next patch what would be a good pair set? Heartland? Or maybe just like crafty alfiq or brights boast haha

Since one of your weak points here seems to be stam rec, you could try to go tri-stat recovery on all jewels ( since u have rec on all jewels anyway). You loose like 90 mag rec but gain 90 stam and 250 health rec.
Ran this today had a blast took me 20min golded out because i hate procs, ran 2 tri glyphs rings got killed alot a first till i put streak on RB. Was streaking into red lol. Love streaking through NBs when server lets me. Melting from range fun.
Yea in my opinion, I have one, its good for damage but not for taking damage. Get 3 shot by sorcerers every time I get on it lol so I use a stamcro personally. Take more damage with more heal utility
if you are farming the helm and shoulder piece for this set, do the random vet Splindle 1 for the swarm mothers helm and buy the domihaus shoulders using your keys. much easier to get.
And BTW you can only get monster set shoulders from pledge coffers and monster set helmets from vet bosses. You're confusing new players by talking out your ass.

Why is max magicka so important on magsorc? I have 37k and I do really well in battlegrounds. I use spinners for the extra damage and I have 27k hp to live. I also only use 1 ward and I seem to always get away from my opponents if I’m in danger of dying.
For the shield and for better survivability, it's better to have a bigger resource pool, for whatever reason, my warden does more damage with max magicka rather than spell damage. I currently have 50k on my warden
I personally enjoy the shattering prison, as in battle with multiple players, a good ol "immobilize" will hit some and I've recognized my teammates notice and jump them, also it explodes for alot of damage after the trap is done. Unless rhey have slippery, it's a huge, stand there while I hurt you with crystal frags, stack that with the negate and they are a very, very helpless toon
Man youve become really such a good fighter! And you play mostly pact, most really really good fighters leave pact to another faction in the long run, (at least in Europe). I hope you will sometimes visit the EU server, i would love so much to fight alongside you a bit...^^
Yup I’m using. Multi enchant w impen. I’ve tried testing 7 impen 6 impen 1 well fitted even 5 impen 2 well fitted, but it just doesn’t feel like maximizing my resources. With 3 impen 4 well fitted it feels really good dodge rolling and not having to worry too much about it
Can you please update your old Magicka NB build or make a new one? i love the torugs build and would love to see how you can turn it into something nice and fitting for the newest Patch!^^
I am waiting for the same, an update for that build, right now is not working very good, they nerfed crit and the shock dmg is not more 7k, is 5k, so I dont know if is still worth. I have maxed torug, caluu and Perfect ed weapons and cant kill a shit, I dont know if torug is still viable or have to change to another set.
@@gastonnavas913 Iam running now Warmaiden x caluu, tho caluu can be switched with any other set. To make up for the lose in defensive, i play 2pieces heavy armor, Gaze of sithis and running sugarskulls with around 20k Resistance and 30k HP. Works well so far^^
@@gastonnavas913 you dont need to proc warmaiden, just adds 600 spelldamage to all magickdamage abilites. Also currently testing Heartlands (new craftable set) for caluu, not sure if i like it yet tho.
I tried it, and I used more tricks to get my MaxMag up even higher. (For instance, an Infused Shield with a Max Magicka Glyph, and you still got a Magicka buff from Twilight Matriarch, but this was several patches ago.) I found myself under-penning. It's fun to push a single stat as far as you can, but Penetration is at least as important (When you don't have it.) Or Crit, whichever you prefer. I was forced to use Pierce Armor, which put me in Melee, and Taunted enemies I really didn't want all up in my face.
Oh yeah, it was Necropotence, AND Alfiq's, all Infused, and all Magicka glyphs, with an 8th Infused Magicka Glyph on the Back Bar, and Twilight Matriarch for the Heals. TBPH, I didn't even bother with PvP, because it was that broken. Not enough Pen, and not enough Spell Crit to really depend on Surge either. Maybe enough has changed, but like I said. It was just a "What if?" Build. I've done the same with other stats like Weapon Damage, Crit Chance/Damage, and so forth, but only to find the best mix of all stats. The OPtimum is some mix of stats. If it was as easy as Max Magicka, then everyone would do it, and A Mother's Sorrow would be useless.
@@urieldraconis857 I don't "Just Use Elemental Drain." I use a lot more tricks than that. Pierce Armor is Major, and Minor Breach. Elemental Drain is Major Breach, and Magickasteal. Don't pretend that's EZ mode for optimizing your Spell Penetration.

I’ve literally watched this video like 7 times to get everything down lol went 16-1 my first game in battlegrounds almost done getting all the gear the, monster sets will be tough cause im new and the random light med and heavy is gunna be an ass to get what i need considering I don’t have enough skill points to fill all three BUT WE WILL GET THERE! The build so far is exactly my play style but actually works in pvp unlike my last build lol

@@SonofGod1980 shields scale off - max mag up 40% of your max health and then add in a couple shield cp points and it wont be hard to reach - so what you should do is stack as much mag as you can and get your health to about 27-30k and u will have shields like that as well

@@SonofGod1980 a lot of us are getting hit by a ton of new bugs one of my sets 5pc just wont work every time i travel to a new zone and i have to remove, re equip all 5 pieces each time which is a mf pain when you are trying to play bgs
suggesting not to use bound armaments ever is insane its crazy good to throw up if your about to block a meteor for instance and will str8 up save you more hp than an extra shield on top of your shield in most cases, its one of the most powerful defensive skills in the game and im not suggesting you spam block but not using it is criminal
I use crafty & bright throat on my breton that alone give me 56k max mag and If I use the monster helm & magic glyphs like u mentioned I'm 100% sure I'll be at 65k max mag
Crafty with lich back bar and master staff fb. Do the same with offset monster pieces or go for some proc now that they are returning. You could run bright throat i guess you would be tied to bloody mara or witch mothers then. Again he has a lot of sustain anyways.
this would be much better with the slimecraw set, which deals +5% damage at all times, with the extra 2.3% critical chance it gives, you'll hit like a truck

You should swap Hardened Ward to your back back and put Streak on your front bar. You'll notice it's really beneficial to get back into your spammable + LA + frags without the split second it takes to bar swap. On top of that you'll be able to streak instantly after casting ice comet
I did a build somewhat similar and wasn't a fan. I like having high spell pen and higher damage. Especially for group play, and even there usually streak is enough to get away the 30kish manna pool.
@@dagger7mouthpvp573 flip side is you can run a defensive set too. Damage seems pretty compatible. Malcom basically did this build early this patch but with a trainee heavy chest.
@@Phier554 my magsorc uses trainie chest and legs This patch too but I still went for higher max mag than spell dmg although with continuos I still hit like 4K spell damage with 48k max mag it’s kind of an in between build
Great to see you post a magsorc build, but this has been the meta since no proc was introduced. You have a great talent for creating unique builds why not push the edge a bit? Love any content you put out regardles. Magsorc might not be in your wheelhouse, but I know you're more creative than this.
You get diminishing returns if you're a breton and wearing light armor because you're already getting cost reduction from them, so the recovery glyphs are definitely more beneficial

No it’s a flat increase. Procs are sets that basically do a certain effect under a particular condition. Example: when you take damage, molag’s balls fall from the sky and hit the enemy for 12000 damage and they are afflicted with the disease status affect. Lmao Perfect examples of real sets that are proc sets are venomous smite and crimson twilight.

Takes no skill to play a mag/stam sorc since the last release IMO. Broken class if you ask me that needs some adjustment, or buff the other classes to get them in line with this one. There was a reason a huge amount of people were playing sorcs in no proc Cyrodiil because they were OP.
Nah, its because sorc is the ultimate potato smasher and most people are potatoes. For anyone who actually understands PVP, the gameplay in this video actually shows that mag sorc isnt even that strong in an actual fight where they are not just streaking to infinity
the only reason was because sorc is the best class to stack all into one stat and still be defensive while doing massive damg in a no proc setting sorc is king but that only lasted 3 months out of 6 years

u can stack it even more with : Death Dealer's Fete mythics ( it gives magicka, healt and stamina )

Crafty alfiq, bright throats boast and necropotence are fairly easy to farm from over lands or buy from guild stores.
1 question why use conjure ward when annulment (mag sorc) provides 6% more shield per light armor item?
Just switched to this build, but I put 20 points into health. 24k seems a little squishy. Also, shields are based off your max health right?

The more max magic you have the more damage you have as all the sorcs moves scale based on spell damage and max magic

Your website build page makes it very hard to read the CP trees. Zoom doesn't work, and you don't have any detail for the subtrees.
If you go trainee on weapons (you’ll obviously lose recovery but Breton) you’ll lose 300 mag but gain 1400 health

the food gives health, the pice of heavy armor is affected byt the passive which gives +2% health total

I found using blackrose resto healing ward, I didn't need to use Crit surge so I replaced it with dark conversion so sustain is no longer an issue

The build so far is exactly my play style but actually works in pvp unlike my last build lol

That shield is going to half to 7k in pvp right? I had that same tool tip in pve, went to pvp and my shields dropped to 7k. Are u in pvp recording?

@@SonofGod1980 shields scale off - max mag up 40% of your max health and then add in a couple shield cp points and it wont be hard to reach - so what you should do is stack as much mag as you can and get your health to about 27-30k and u will have shields like that as well
@@urieldraconis857 yes. Today i put on ancient grace jewelry, crafty body, and training weapons. Domihaus n swarm mother head/shoulders. Went to cyro, 15k shields. I rhink my game is just bugging out alot since last patch
@@SonofGod1980 a lot of us are getting hit by a ton of new bugs one of my sets 5pc just wont work every time i travel to a new zone and i have to remove, re equip all 5 pieces each time which is a mf pain when you are trying to play bgs

The one sorc abilitie has a passive that grants an extra 7% max mag when slotted
suggesting not to use bound armaments ever is insane its crazy good to throw up if your about to block a meteor for instance and will str8 up save you more hp than an extra shield on top of your shield in most cases, its one of the most powerful defensive skills in the game and im not suggesting you spam block but not using it is criminal
I use crafty & bright throat on my breton that alone give me 56k max mag and If I use the monster helm & magic glyphs like u mentioned I'm 100% sure I'll be at 65k max mag
Crafty with lich back bar and master staff fb. Do the same with offset monster pieces or go for some proc now that they are returning. You could run bright throat i guess you would be tied to bloody mara or witch mothers then. Again he has a lot of sustain anyways.
this would be much better with the slimecraw set, which deals +5% damage at all times, with the extra 2.3% critical chance it gives, you'll hit like a truck

This is not really a new build. Max magicka on sorc for fat shields is as old as the game itself.

You should swap Hardened Ward to your back back and put Streak on your front bar. You'll notice it's really beneficial to get back into your spammable + LA + frags without the split second it takes to bar swap. On top of that you'll be able to streak instantly after casting ice comet
I did a build somewhat similar and wasn't a fan. I like having high spell pen and higher damage. Especially for group play, and even there usually streak is enough to get away the 30kish manna pool.
When have you ever seen Kristofer eso play with groups? Its 1 v x focused.
This much max magicka actually gives more damage than most spell pen builds
@@dagger7mouthpvp573 flip side is you can run a defensive set too. Damage seems pretty compatible. Malcom basically did this build early this patch but with a trainee heavy chest.
@@Phier554 my magsorc uses trainie chest and legs This patch too but I still went for higher max mag than spell dmg although with continuos I still hit like 4K spell damage with 48k max mag it’s kind of an in between build
Great to see you post a magsorc build, but this has been the meta since no proc was introduced. You have a great talent for creating unique builds why not push the edge a bit? Love any content you put out regardles. Magsorc might not be in your wheelhouse, but I know you're more creative than this.

Cost reduction glyphs are better than recovery
You get diminishing returns if you're a breton and wearing light armor because you're already getting cost reduction from them, so the recovery glyphs are definitely more beneficial
if my sorc was half this good i would be a beast hahahaha same sort of build but my max mag is only 43k buffed.

No it’s a flat increase. Procs are sets that basically do a certain effect under a particular condition.
Example: when you take damage, molag’s balls fall from the sky and hit the enemy for 12000 damage and they are afflicted with the disease status affect. Lmao
Perfect examples of real sets that are proc sets are venomous smite and crimson twilight.

Takes no skill to play a mag/stam sorc since the last release IMO. Broken class if you ask me that needs some adjustment, or buff the other classes to get them in line with this one. There was a reason a huge amount of people were playing sorcs in no proc Cyrodiil because they were OP.
Nah, its because sorc is the ultimate potato smasher and most people are potatoes. For anyone who actually understands PVP, the gameplay in this video actually shows that mag sorc isnt even that strong in an actual fight where they are not just streaking to infinity
the only reason was because sorc is the best class to stack all into one stat and still be defensive while doing massive damg in a no proc setting sorc is king but that only lasted 3 months out of 6 years
