1.05 Maye is a lock, and you’re saying it’s difficult to move down from 1.08 to like 1.10/11? If that’s the case given your TE core i don’t think it’s egregious to take your next best WR if the TE market is lacking
Probably a stupid move, but i traded the 1.09 (with Bowers on the board) for Trey McBride. I have a playoff ready team and McBride seemed like a better bet for at least this season.

Hypothetically: If Bowers has a 80% chance of becoming a top 5 round startup pick and a 95% of becoming a top 10 round startup pick; If McCarthy has a 20% chance of becoming a top 1 round startup pick and a 40% chance of becoming a top 3 round startup pick and a 75% chance of becoming a top 10 round startup pick; Then it may make sense to draft Bowers over McCarthy even though McCarthy has a higher upside range.

People are typically more patient with the development of TEs and the value of the position typically lasts longer, just as the actual players do in the actual NFL.
I think it’s also important to point out that these videos should factor in your league economy. I play in a 1qb 1.5 team premium dynasty league and a sf 2.0 te prem league. Both of these leagues have a huge price tag for tes. I agree to an extent of this video but again league economy is the most important factor imo.
Absolutely, mentioned that in the Bowers point that it’s specifically in a non or slight premium format. If you’re in a heavy TEP or a league economy that values TEs extremely high, absolutely you can take him higher. In our personal experience, our SF 1.5 TEP leagues just don’t have much of a liquid TE market

I took Maye at the 1.06 (SF) today and Penix fell to the 2.06. I didn’t need Penix have Stroud and Dak but felt like I had to take him based on value. Would you take him there even without need or go another direction? (Brooks, Benson and Corum all off the board)
With brooks and benson off the board and assuming the other WRs were too i don’t mind snagging the guaranteed ROI there with Penix. Can always move him later and he’ll hold value because of his DC
For what it's worth, in my auction dynasty startup with a $400 budget, Maye went for $50 (won by me) and Daniels went for $25. And in my other league, 1.04 went Maye and 1.05 went Daniels. I think Maye is starting to catch Daniels in perceived value, as imo he should.
I don't get the dynasty value of a QB prospect over a TE prospect in a 1QB league. Literally had the 6th pick in dynasty and all the top wide receivers went ahead of me and it was easy to pull the trigger on Bowers. Especially with having Kittle and Henry as my TEs, Mahomes and Stroud as my QBs, and Jefferson, Pittman, Waddle, McLaurin, Sutton, Meyers as my WRs. I would have loved to have Odunze or someone else like Trey Benson at 1.06 but Bowers was there and he was the best skill position player available.

One guy legit spent his 3.03 this year on JORDAN TRAVIS when Pearsall and all of the round 2 wrs except coleman and mcconkey were on the board. Honestly everyone else knows what they're doing for the most part. Most people focused on Javon Baker, Sanders, Corley, Roman Wilson, and Troy Franklin I found either at the end of the 3rd or on waivers, rather than those 2 rbs and burton for some reason

JD is consensus 1.03 because most teams that own the 1.03 are not good teams and may really need a qb. Even if Nabors is more of a guarantee, he still doesn't play QB...the most valuable position in SF. I traded up specifically for Nabors at 1.03, and could not bring myself to take him over JD because JD is more valuable and I could trade for Nabors plus after just a couple good games. How how can you say it was a bad landing spot? Kingsbury is who made Kyler as successful as he was. Mclauren, Dotson, Ekeler, Zach Erts...the o line will get help. But wow, JD is in a great landing spot, and a huge reason why he is going 1.03

Don't disagree much here except on Burton. Burton is a great round 3/4 bet in the Bengals system and given Higgins situation.

1QB League, I took the first QB Williams at the 1.09, JJ Mcarthy (!) went at the 1.11, Daniels went at the 1.12 and Maye went at the 2.03. I took Benson at the 2.01 and the guy who took Daniels took Blake Corum at the 2.02.

I took Maye at the 1.06 (SF) today and Penix fell to the 2.06. I didn’t need Penix have Stroud and Dak but felt like I had to take him based on value. Would you take him there even without need or go another direction? (Brooks, Benson and Corum all off the board)
With brooks and benson off the board and assuming the other WRs were too i don’t mind snagging the guaranteed ROI there with Penix. Can always move him later and he’ll hold value because of his DC

For what it's worth, in my auction dynasty startup with a $400 budget, Maye went for $50 (won by me) and Daniels went for $25. And in my other league, 1.04 went Maye and 1.05 went Daniels. I think Maye is starting to catch Daniels in perceived value, as imo he should.

I don't get the dynasty value of a QB prospect over a TE prospect in a 1QB league. Literally had the 6th pick in dynasty and all the top wide receivers went ahead of me and it was easy to pull the trigger on Bowers. Especially with having Kittle and Henry as my TEs, Mahomes and Stroud as my QBs, and Jefferson, Pittman, Waddle, McLaurin, Sutton, Meyers as my WRs. I would have loved to have Odunze or someone else like Trey Benson at 1.06 but Bowers was there and he was the best skill position player available.
This is specifically from a SF perspective. In a 1 QB Bowers is my 1.04 (after marv nabers and odunze)
Getting him 1.06 in a 1 QB is great value for u imo

@ChronicDankies Not everyone is, it's with some people from College some do not know much, some know a TON. One guy legit spent his 3.03 this year on JORDAN TRAVIS when Pearsall and all of the round 2 wrs except coleman and mcconkey were on the board. Honestly everyone else knows what they're doing for the most part. Most people focused on Javon Baker, Sanders, Corley, Roman Wilson, and Troy Franklin I found either at the end of the 3rd or on waivers, rather than those 2 rbs and burton for some reason

I guess I’m just trying to figure out if Bowers jumps from more like 9/10 to more like 7 or 8 in this scenario. Seems like maybe the top 5 QBs Harrison and Nabors are still ahead of him which would put him at 8?

JD is consensus 1.03 because most teams that own the 1.03 are not good teams and may really need a qb. Even if Nabors is more of a guarantee, he still doesn't play QB...the most valuable position in SF. I traded up specifically for Nabors at 1.03, and could not bring myself to take him over JD because JD is more valuable and I could trade for Nabors plus after just a couple good games. How how can you say it was a bad landing spot? Kingsbury is who made Kyler as successful as he was. Mclauren, Dotson, Ekeler, Zach Erts...the o line will get help. But wow, JD is in a great landing spot, and a huge reason why he is going 1.03
All fair points if you need QB. The issue is, he ain’t even the best available QB after Caleb, hence why he’s a fade for me. He’s still my 1.05, and contextually i understand if someone takes daniels > nabers given QB need, but in no world could i do it over Drake Maye
Also, saying Kingsbury made kyler successful is wild considering he wouldn’t have gotten fired and/or would still be a head coach if that was the case lol

I disagree with your example of charbonnet. Kenneth Walker was a high round pick and has been good from the beginning. Kyren has been good but still a late round pick. Kyren also is small so has problems with injury as he proved this year
