I’m currently learning Chinese and I find your video very refreshing and helpful. Keep up the amazing content you’re creating. I can not wait to see more videos and you growing this channel. 😊
Please never stop making these, I’ve just found u and it helps me a lot with my Chinese🥺 I’m currently relearning my mandarin and ur vlog is the best thing that make me not give up (I’m Chinese)
I really like the way you narrate while walking or doing things the sound quality is spectacular so everything you say is clearly heard your tone when speaking is very smooth and clear and I love how your words accompany the video's development I encourage you to keep making more and thank you very much for your contribution
Novel way to teach a language. If you can focus on certain words, or phrases in each video when you’re narrating, you can repeatedly use those words or phrases in different contexts. it would make learning more relevant and easier to remember
At 2:36 I think that 先下后上 is short for 先下车, 然后上车 which means "first get off, then get on". This rule of etiquette for public transit means that people getting on should first wait for people to get off.
Thank you for the video. I think I already requested this but let me try again. Since you already do the great work of providing the Chinese subtitles embedded on the screen, could you please also make them available as CC subtitles on RUclips? That way we can use reader software and download the soft subtitles. That is a great and useful study tool.
Perhaps even better would be to generate a "transcript". This appears as a sidebar to the video. No need to download. You can just copy and paste from it.
@@mountaintag Actually not. Reader software like LingQ downloads Chinese CC subtitles and synchronizes them with the audio so that’s definitely the best option for what I’m asking for and that kind of user. It’s possible to copy and paste a transcript into the system but the same synch doesn’t happen.
I think this time I turned on the subtitles and especially I chose the language Chinese in the subtitles button. Beg your pardon I’m not very skillful in using RUclips, still try to figure out how to make everything easier, like subtitles, advertising etc. And I’m not sure whether that’s what you asked for. And your request definitely is good for my content and can make it easier for Chinese learners to catch me.
@@chinesewithchristine1876 Thank you for your reply but no, the CC (Closed Captions) are not available yet. Take a look at Dashu Mandarin for example and check their CC subtitles so you can have a better idea of what I'm talking about. Here in this video it explains how you can add your Chinese transcript and create your Chinese CC subtitles. This is different than having it automatically generated by RUclips (which can have many mistakes) : ruclips.net/video/AkA58hX4ZDc/видео.html
@@OlmoLungring Thank you for the tutoring link. I followed the instructions from the video link you shared and I added the CC subtitles on this video. Check if that’s what you requested? I uploaded the both Chinese and English subtitles there but when I checked, there was only English subtitles. I don’t know why 😭
could you make a video about cultures, customs, things to do/not to do for someone moving or visiting china? maybe do it in this format? thank you for videos... did you live in the UK for a long time? you have an UK accent when you speak english in other vids.
Great video for Mandarin learners. You speak very clearly. I like all your videos I’ve seen so far. But please don’t add music. It’s fine in a regular blog but this is for language learning and music is a distraction. This is the most common problem in Mandarin learning videos.
Why would music be a distraction? I think it's actually something that makes the video feel more real. Also, in real life situations you have to try to listen to people speaking while dealing with a lot of background noises
@@invIdia333 This is just my opinion and you’re free to take it as you like. To native English speakers, the range of sounds in Chinese is very different and it’s difficult to distinguish the fine details and being able to hear then repeat those differences is essential. When I was young I studied other languages in formal classroom settings as there was no internet etc. I suppose I’m just accustomed to learning language and other subjects in distraction free environments and feel it’s a better way for me. On the other hand the internet has revolutionised language learning and provided many more opportunities. The most important bit is I can easily listen to individual words and sentences over and over in a way previously not possible. Hope this helps explain things.
Jolie voix et quel plastique, trop bien boire la noix de coco, je me demande s'il coupe après pour manger l'intérieure ? C'est ou trop bien 聲音好聽,什麼塑膠的,椰子很好喝,不知道他會不會把裡面的東西切開吃呢?這個edt還是太好了
At 7:36 we have: 她帮我们把梗砍掉 "She helps us cut off the stems" … In English, we would only say "helps us" if we were both cutting off stems. If only she is cutting, we would say "She cuts off the stems for us". … This can be a confusing usage of 帮 for English speakers. The meaning is the same as 为我们 but Chinese prefers to use 帮. To correspond with the English word "helps", I find that Chinese usually uses 帮助.
The music is too much (太多了). 中文口语很难听懂,因为也有音乐的声音。除了能说流利的人。It is an interesting travel video, but it is not good spoken language listening practice for student. It would be, without the music. Are there people who can ignore music? 我不知道,我不可能。
Seriously, put the video at 75% speed , 3/4 speed and Christine looks like she floating along in slow motion as in a drama.
