Just did Kungsleden with the Framus 48 + the bonfus duos tent, both worked amazingly. It was a very rainy 460+ km, but i stayed dry at night and my gear stayed dry during the day (without a packliner/dry sacks/stuff sacks). Will however add some stuff sacks for future adventures, just to make life easier myself with some organising. The duos, with the bag that comes along with it, fits perfectly sideways into the framus 48 (and i would guess the other packs as well). Only had one night where i took down the tent, since i forgot to check the weather forecast and missed a yellow warning for 26ms winds... and i had pitched pretty exposed on a mountain. Nothing on the tent broke/got damaged, but it was a biiiit too noisy to sleep :) (and after talking to some people who had pitched their hilleberg black label tents up there, they weren't able to sleep either). Was using the bonfus aluminium tent stakes, all stayed in the ground. Looking to do the HRP next year and will probably upgrade/downgrade... sidegrade? to the middus 1p and the iterus 38l for lighter/smaller 'mountain setup' (+ the middus will be perfect for some cross country skiing adventures). But the Framus 48 + the duos will probably stay my main setup for most of my hikes (Soooo much room in the duos for only 600g). Great quality gear and Niccolo was super helpful when i contacted their support via their website. 10/10, would (will) buy again.
Hello @mabse3, thank you for the kind words. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed the Framus and the Duos. I hope you had a great time on the Kungsleden. Do not hesitate to contact us for any matter :) Have a great day, Niccolo.
Thanks for your little review! I have a question about the waterproofness, because this sounds great! What material did you get? I'm still debating over DCF vs xpac concerning waterproffness and durability. And did you hike with a poncho and covered the pac or did it experience full rain and still stayed dry?
@@LFWK Hello! If I may answer :) I believe he used an Ultra200 pack. Packs in Ultra200 and DCF292 are more water resistant as the seams are taped. Xpacs packs do not have taped seams. Seam taping helps with seam strength and to increase water resistance. We do not advertise our packs as completely waterproof, so a liner or drybags are still recommended for the most important items. For any other questions, feel free to send us an email at info@bonfus.com Have a great day! :)
This looks like a great pack! I have been in 2 minds about my next pack and I thought I was decided on the Atompacks MO50, but this has thrown a spanner in the works now 😂. Decisions decisions!!
Thank you for leaving a comment. It's always good to have choices and decisions to make :) If you are in the UK (guessing from your name), you can find our packs at valleyandpeak.co.uk/. They are super nice guys, with great customer service and fast shipping. Niccolo
Hi, I'm looking at the 58L for expedition trekking and then peak climbing (Everest to Camp 3), is it possible to have my new pack made with the top clips made male and female as mentioned in a review I read that did sound a great feature. Also, the store in Australia has stock available but only in black, and I did prefer white so was wondering if anything has changed recently?
We ship all over the world. The pack can be purchased directly on our website, or through one of our retailers (you will see the complete list on the retailers page on our website). Thanks.
Bonfus is the best, I just hiked the TMB with Altus 38 and I love this pack!
Thank you so much!
