Just say "I haven't passed yet." Don't take it as a failure but see it as a learning opportunity. There is a lot of power in "Yet", you are telling yourself that you will get there and that your eyes and heart are still fixed on your goal.
I only studied a lot when i went for the first time last year but the second time was so easy, all thanks to my aunt who introduced me to Mrs Catherina Moore am really grateful
I'm a living testimony of Mrs Catherina, she has helped me achieve my dream of becoming a licienced Doctor 👩⚕️, i encourage those who find it difficult to pass the USMLE exams to work with her and thank me
Hi Maddie, I'm an IMG and also going through the same journey as you. I feel you a lot about all the step process. Thanks for posting this video. It took a lot courage to do this, but it helps for those who were just going through the same to have someone to discuss about this matter. I hope that you are doing better now. Wish can have a chance to talk with you personally. Blessings.
I literally spent New Years Eve of 1999 taking Step 1. Failed by one point. Seeing your videos brings back a lot of memories of my med school experience. Ultimately I passed Step 1 but later went on to leave medical school permanently. By this time, I had technically completed all of third year. Why I left is a soap opera in its own right but it was the best decision I ever made.
@@tinhyeu5952 Hey there! Thank you, I'm doing great :) Check out my video on why I left med school ruclips.net/video/Ep5Xhj5uzYY/видео.html&ab_channel=MaddiexChase
I think when it changes to pass/fail then there will be more chances for med students to move forward. I am not sure once it changes how someone would be evaluated. I am thinking they will find something else to look at like grades or something else. Not sure. But I am sure this change will give a sigh of relief to med students.
I just failed step, after that ecfmg they send me this email, they suspend my application to any step exam for a year do to anomalous performance, readiness to test and motivation to pass, I don't know what's wroung, I fail my test due to anxiety, I prepared well but I got so anxious tired during the exams and I run of time and leaving some questions without answering and some of multiple flags,,, so what should I do, I already start to study again, should I wait or this will be more reg flags to get match next year, or changing the whole pass to UK? Did some face same problem here?
Thank you for the video. ❤️ I am foreign medical graduate in 2009 and did my residency in internal medicine in my country finish in 2013. I moved to the United States in 2016 . Currently I am a citizen. I am 37 years old. I haven't worked since this year. I am a mom staying at home. Firstable trying to learn English that is not proficient yet. I take step 1 October 2021 and I fail and I will retaken in two days but unfortunately take three NMBE tests and don't reach the pass rate. I am so frustrated. My question is what is my opportunity to enter the residency if I failed twice step 1 ??? I heard that it is better not to go to the exam so that it is not registered, that means, a red flag, that is true??? Please I need advice. Thank you so much!!!!!
Thank you for your answer. Yes, I know my probabilities are low for matching I heard about IMG can do it, but I don't know what I will do. What do you mean with FM or IM? I am thinking study for PA (Physician assistant) or somebody told me about Nurse practitioner@@imthrillz5255
Great question! You take take step 1 up to 6 times total and 3 times within 12 months. After the 3rd time, you must wait 6 months until your 4th attempt which must also be at least 12 months from your first attempt. I hope this helps! Many schools won’t let you move on to 3rd year until you receive a passing score
I’m afraid that your chance to get in the residence program would be greatly diminished, especially if you are an IMG. Hopefully that never happened to you.
I just failed the USMLE exam. 😔🥺 I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. This is so heartbreaking 💔

Well! Mann I've taken the Step 1 for the second time now and still didn't succeed, I wonder how those who succeeded did it
You will pass I believe everyone has their season, just keep going pray, and believe you will receive
I failed 3 times, and I lost money to reviews that he major thing is that I've not lost hope
I'm sorry about your plight my friend but I was once in your shoes before I was recommended to Mr Richard Brown and that's how I passed My STEP 1
They say third times a charm, I have pass my step 1 finally🎉🎉 for all my repeat test takers don't give up and don't be discouraged.

Why did you leave? Hope you’re better now

Will you be taking step when it is pass/fail then? If so I feel like your match chances should be much improved

With a failed Step 1 as a US IMG your odds of matching into residency even if you do pass USMLE are slim. Your best odds are to apply to FM or IM.
