In todays video I resume progress on my journey in building one of the most realistic towns inside of Minecraft. Our main goal is to replicate real life structures with 100% precision. Let me know how I did on my attempt at a photorealistic school!

This is fucking unbelievable. This is what I imagined as a kid would happen after long enough of Minecraft existing, people will go to these kinds of unbelievable lengths building real stuff and that someday later people will transport their consciousness to the game forever

Man people were doing this with quake and half life map editors. Some were really well done. Then columbine happened and it felt weird to make their school in an fps game.

I was so excited when he said that the build was based in my hometown of Springfield, then he said he was going to build the school the went to the I just died of excitement. Then he said the build was going to be based on a school from Texas. Also, Northridge has unfortunately been torn down for the new kenton ridge building.
Is he going to build a bunch of seller carts outside of Asians eating cats and dogs

Geez dude, I can’t believe how far you’ve come with this town so far… and your new school build is monstrous, I can’t even imagine attempting to build that! Since this is a small-ish rural town, I feel like a smaller, somewhat run down horse stable would be a nice addition. I feel like I see them in almost any small town like this!
Okay, I was intending to clown on you like "you can build literally anything in MC, why would you bother building a pixel-perfect boring rural American town?".
But I have to say man, you grabbed me right at the start with the opening cinematic and the "Time is The Most Important Thing" quote, and I'm so impressed by the level of detail and dedication put into this build. I recently got back into MC after a long absence and I actually really dig the realism aspect, I'm the kind of player who'll dig out six layers of dirt down to bare stone so I can build "technically correct" foundations/underpinnings for my Fantasy Gothic cathedral. And people seem to love the nostalgia/"moment in time" aspect, less relevant for me since I'm from Australia, but I can dig that too. Great work mate, excellent editing/production also, very chill vibe. New sub here.

Dude I used to watch so many minceraft building videos like spanklechank as a kid, but slowly fell away from them. This brought me back in so many ways you couldn’t even imagine!
You gotta add the football field/track, basketball gym, auditorium, cafeteria! Cross walks along entrances/exits for students. Also adding a fence around the school would be a nice touch as well. It’s amazing to me how many times those are left out of builds. It would take the school to that next level of realism.
why would an elementary school have a football statium?

it would be nice to see how you might integrate distant horizons into your future projects. it is also compatible with your bliss shader. it could make the whole project look even more impressive if the landscape in the background didn't keep popping up and away c:

What you should add to this town is a simple baseball or soccer field for kids to play at. Maybe also like a town hall or something.
Why? Kids do not even know where outside is.

Lol, I grew up in this town. I even knew the guy Lee Longino that one of the schools you showed was named after. The school you built was not there when I was a kid. Part of my childhood was spent fishing in a pond that was in the horse pasture Lucy Mae McDonald elementary is build over. Never thought I'd see my hometown in a Minecraft video. Going to go share this with some folks from the town so they can see it.

this looks awesome, i think it'd be pretty neat to have dirt paths in the grass going from different sidewalks that are close together

Building some sort of park could definitely be an idea and allow Bellevue’s people to chill out after spending the day at school.

I love this series! Building is all I ever do in Minecraft. All my worlds are just full of big and/or complicated builds over the years. Maybe I should start posting.
That schools remind me of my school, Wando High School in SC. Id love to see some builds from Charleston in there.
Just for future reference since you questioned it, but your "awning" is normally called a "canopy" on schools and similar buildings.

This is what we all wanted to do but never got past the first block 😂 its so satisfying to see it done. I remember just trying to build my own house to scale and i messed up everything so badly and i had a habit of making things too small even when overestimating the size 😂

The "P" road is an access road for large trucks like you mentioned deliveries and garbage to get out without reversing.
The only reason why I know what Bellevue is, is because I remember building Sammamish High School with the weston build team once, I'll be excited to see your version of it if you attempt to recreate it!
Another larger project if you'd like the idea lol. Bruce Power. which is a nuclear plant located in Ontario, its one of the smaller ones so it shouldnt but too hard. most of it is like square and whatnot. so nothing too extreme, your world edits could probably do most of the work
Would love to see you build the sports complexes for this school. Basketball gym, football stadium, baseball stadium

I love ur builds sm and ur first video in this series did actually inspire me to retry making a city of my own and Im now over 12 hrs into it on bedrock with very few mods but I like it anyway even tho it's no where as nice as ur world

Even on bedrock with no mods, you can make a great project. Pay attention to small details. They really, really help bring it to life.
Use buttons, fences, walls, gates and anything for those details!

I would love if you built a village in the UK. Especially one in a Welsh valley or something. It would be interesting and pose a different challenge for you. I think Resolven in Neath Port Talbot would be a good one. Links with a major road, not too big or small, and in a valley.

I'm wondering the same thing! Might be an add on, I know there's one where you can change the size of blocks and height etc. You can even make hills and bumps etc. with some of them.

i suggest you to drop the scale twice for a better realism
Considering this town has a low income area, I think it would be interesting to have a street full of run down houses that is being bulldozed and redeveloped with houses with varying stages of demolition and some vacant lots with only foundations left and maybe some burnt out houses. I was going to build that in my world but I ran out of steam and didn't have anywhere to put it. I'm not sure if this mod would be good for that though

You should install distant horizons so you cant see the chunks unloading since you seem to have the fog off

I feel like the next thing that you should build is a grocery store because those poor people are driving to the next town over just to get food. I feel like how small this town is. I don't think a Walmart or Target Or even a Dollar general will not fit in this small town but small regional grocery store.
