Tasukaru (saved [me]) actually is something that came from the livestreamer space and has nothing to do with idol culture. copy pasting from a japanese article. "○○tasukaru" refers to the phrase and its derivatives that viewers and listeners write in the comments when a streamer such as a live streamer, performer, or VTuber sneezes or does something like that during a live broadcast, such as "That sneeze saved me," Originally, the phrase was used as a follow-up to apologize to viewers/listeners when minor mishaps occurred during a stream, such as the aforementioned sneezing, yawning, drinking water to stay hydrated, or laughing so hard you can't talk, or dropping something, with the streamer apologizing to the viewers/listeners, with comments such as "Don't worry about it" or "In fact, your sneeze is so cute, I want to hear more." The most commonly used phrase is "Kushami tasukaru", but a quiet sneeze can sound cute, so if the mic isn't muted in time and the sneeze is heard, it's probably a natural reaction from the viewers. In the same sense, there are phrases like "kushami itadakimashita" and "kushami arigatou," as well as exaggerated expressions like "Thanks to your sneeze, I won the lottery" and "My cancer is cured." There may be some people who love sneezes as a fetish , but in the case of sneezing, it's usually just a joke .
Can't wait for some vtuber terms involving just stuff from school if "graduate/graduating/graduation" exists, since I saw a comment on one of those dokibird re-debut stream clips saying "enrolled/enroll/enrollment" when referring to debut or re-debut probably.
@@koziitwo we'll see about that, if running out of new terms for vtubing instead of using existing ones from somewhere but make it different for vtubing.
Tourist are both good and bad, when people are curious of a culture - they're a tourist, and when they entered the sphere or community(I would prefer to call it a sphere for Vtubing), then they become the good or bad version of tourist, bad tourist are like Shizzy TheGawd for example - coming in from the Rap scene and causing trouble like doxxing Hololive's talent. While good tourist, maybe like Hwikky for example, real life vlogger now mostly known as a Hololive-focused vlogger, whenever he went to any Holo events people would be excited for a new video from him. Tourist can simply came in and then leave, or remain inside to fall deeper in the rabbit hole - like most of us. My understanding of this came from another youtuber called the Armcha1r Expert, he covered the "Tourist" & "Gatekeep" topic recently too in Legal Mindset's most recent stream.
