  • In a world threatened by human-driven climate change, disruptive digital innovations, and nuclear proliferation, new technologies offer the potential to increase security, improve resilience, and mitigate damage. Our challenge is to harness these technologies in ways that build peace - and to find effective means to prevent the weaponization of technologies intended for peaceful use. As rising temperatures increase the threat of climate-driven conflicts on a global scale, what can we do to assure peaceful use of the powerful new technologies we must invent and deploy to assure humanity’s survival? Panelists: Eric D. Isaacs (Moderator), Kate Marvel, UN Under-Secretary-General Izumi Nakamitsu, Senator Sam Nunn, Ray Rothrock.
