Europe and America as Underwriters of the International Order Noam Chomsky Delivered at the Institute of European Affairs, January 19, 2006 it's online as full transcript
I had a dream once where Noam Chomsky made fun of my reverence for John Stuart Mill. Mill was not perfect, and I did see that he was a colonialist. Still, some of his paragraphs deserve to be read three times in a row, they are so beautiful to me. I didn't see this more awful element until lately. It seems wise to read things that impressed you when young again in the middle and later parts of life. I have found different meanings each time.
Taking one paragraph out of such a large work is just cherry picking nonsense. Someone who essentially closes a blind eye to Israeli ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians has no real right to take a high, noble seat on anything.
Chomsky is very vocal for his support for Palestine and describes Israels actions as terroristic attacks against Palestine. He definitely does not turn a blind eye and condemn Israel constantly
@@kylescott169 Sound and fury signifying nothing. I have many Jewish friends who do that to, but they will never boycott Israel. With them it's like being a three card monte dealer, and everyone else who is not Jewish is the sucker.
I would LOVE to see this in it’s entirety!!
Many of his best are, fortunately,on CSPAN’s BookTV !,
Thanks for Posting!

@@thomasjamison2050 what do you want him to do? He’s gone to Israel to speak about the boycott and wrote a whole book on it with pappe
@LEEK Odd that you think it so ironic that utilitarians might do something you freely admit that everyone does.
@LEEK Yes, of course. The problem was the way John Stuart Mill handled his Army and Navy.
