I think the reason that engine is under a sheet is that a real engine is going to wear that livery, and it hasn’t been publically unveiled yet. So it’s a model of a livery that’s yet to be, and when it’s publically unveiled, then they can show the model. I think

One thing I am semi-interested is the reworked Thompson Pacifics.

Hey, isn’t this the first time the 66’s have been released as railroad models? They were always In the main range leading up to this (which was definitely not where they belonged)

I thought it was a decent release on the whole, bearing in mind Hornby are no longer doing a single annual release and I suspect they are saving some newly tooled models for surprise releases later in the year.
The highlight for me was the GER J15. great livery, decent price too. I suspect these will sell out quickly.
    - I'm also happy to see the Merchant navy in BR experimental blue as I missed out last time.
    - I'm sure the GWR fans will be please at a new tooled Saint. Am I the only one to call her 'Lady of Leisure'?😁 I've only a few GWR locos myself, as they tend to be a bit samey.
    - The Dublo A4 in garter blue and silver lettering gives people another loco to run with the LNER Coronation coaches it's extra weight will be useful for hauling the full rake of nine.
    - The B17 and HST set are great additions to the Railroad range.
    - Not surprised to see another run of the streamlined B17 as they sold out quickly.
    - Hope they've improved the livery on the Thompson A2 as it was horribly washed out last time. I hear it's been upgraded with a diecast running plate. If that's correct it's a welcome improvement.
    - More variants for Black 5 fans.
    - The Era1 multi pack is good value. However I suspect most of the people they appeal to will already have at least one of them, in which case I'd be tempted to sell their existing model on.
    Rolling stock:
    - The Maunsell restaurant and bar car are interesting, though not at the top of my list personally unless I see them on sale in the future.
    - The Gresley teaks always sell well. I suspect the full brake will sell out fairly quickly as usual.
    - Nice to see magnetic couplings on some of the new rolling stock.
    On the downside;
    - More Beatles tat, apparently they sell well, but probably to Beatles fans rather than model railway enthusiasts.
    - Hornby's pricing policy bizarre as usual. Some are good value e.g. the J15, Era1 pack, HST train set, etc. And then you have things like the T9. Why isn't it priced the same as the B17, J15 etc? Weird. Especially as you can get these for £50-80 on Ebay but the new release has an RRP of £230😬.

Thinks of Hornby range this year 2025
    Good Point
I like we are getting a J15 in GER blue as go great with clark railworks Quad Art and with 50 years old great way to celebration the North Norfolk railway. But wish we got GER grey as well. Nice to see a new BR - Merchant Navy Class in BR blue. But I know the Wensleydale Brewery tanker is under real but good-priced tanks look way better they Dapol ones. Not for me but good range railroad model and nice to see the Bulleid Tavern Restaurant coaches a little more choice for SR fans.
    Bad point
Not really great range four me range go down since 2019. Not really great celebrations as real having got any new SR tools steam train want came plus there was not much in the way of pre-1923 trains. Bachmann and Rapido do a lot more in the range. Plus people like new tools BR green diesel and on ways not that much there. Only really got BR green steam train most of it. Should been called Br Green Steam Range. Miss a great chance to do the A4 in BR Experimental Purple with Dublo. Should do King and a3 with new tools in that livery help bring out more livers choice to come to BR steam. Plus making Terrier for 2019 will should got one in LBSCR brown. The Beatles wagon is just bad if keep doing music train should do Evis this year. As around 90 olds this year. Or could do the Queens trains from Breakthru video in 1989 at Flim at Never Valley railway this was real. Could use Railroad tools for it. Not really that Good Hornby 2025 range I'm looking forward to Rapido's two new trains coming this year.
Good things got four me. Was J15 and Merchant Navy Class in BR blue and Wensleydale Brewery tanker.
How I was improved the range this year.
First, add both J15 in both GER blue and Grey. Plus Train pack with them two in wood box limited edition 500. With Rapido doing amazing HR ones Goods add some new coaches in HR green with the Cream using Hornby generic coaches (2021) and some GER as well.
Do the Tettier in LBSCR brown and Loco Dep Brighton work in LBSCR brown. Plus Fenchurch in LBSCR Brown and Bluebell liverys both versions of Fenchurch in train pack.
Have to give it a grade only get -B only 3.5
