Becoming a zombie, Barry picked up his sword and fought once more, telling the hero that killed the Spider that had slain him, Jared, to carry the mantle. Now, Jared carries the first Diamond sword of the series. Barry, in the mines, continues to fight monsters in hopes of aiding his team despite losing his humanity. First Death- Barry. Second death- Totally gonna be Dean.
So much preparation for all this. The 'Hardcore' theme, all the drawn headshots. everyone each having their own video for their own perspectives. Syncing up all the videos and switching them around for different perspectives. Finding skins for each character. Finding fitting music and syncing it to the right times so we have something to listen to for ambiance. On top of all that, actually playing the game. I appreciate all the work that goes into the background of this, and understand why it's not a common series
It really adds to the series that they all get super sad when someone dies. Even though they can just see Barry later or whatever, they're all "in character" I guess. I really like it.
I love PBG making the tombstone at the end. Only PBG and Todd could take something so silly, make it decently heart wrenching, and make it silly again.
So Barry sacrificed himself to destroy the spawner but in the end they didn't know it was destroyed and sealed the tunnel off anyway.....now that is sad

I'm upset he died too, but it can't be helped now. Dean was right there and took out the spider behind them. Barry would've died a lot sooner had Dean not been fighting ( at 3 hearts mind you ) alongside him. Barry could've literally blocked the spider off, stayed in one spot or eaten te steak he had and he would've been fine. HELL, he could've told someone he was at half a heart but he didn't. I know he was panicking and probably couldn't think straight but it was definitely preventable. McJones was at half a heart too with Jared protecting him, PBG was by himself, Ray was protecting Jeff who was at 2 hearts and Dean was fighting spiders. Dean probably didn't want to try to break the web Barry was in out of fear of killing him on accident. That could've happened. Either way, we need to move on....sorry, Barry....
I think Ray needs to be a staple for the HC playthroughs now. I got so excited to see he was in this one after watching Achievement Hunters for years. Please don't die Ray!!!
I absolutely love how the Disgaea shop theme started playing when PBG made the Diamond Sword. XD In all honesty, I'd totally play Minecraft if I had such a cool group of guys to play with like these guys.
That was just hilarious hearing the deserted island music being played for fighting a tiny-ass spider. Sure, cave spiders are terrifying at the moment, but when compared to the stuff the theme is usually played for, like lagiacrus, it's just a really funny juxtaposition
That bothered me at first too but honesty I feel it's safer to have a Diamond Sword right now. None of them are close to level 30 yet and they can find more diamonds easily, so having the sword is useful for this. Everything helps.

Brie Monique you know they didn’t have to block the series at all. They could have left them here but people would bitch and complain that PBG endorses/ doesn’t care what Jared did. They would dislike any and all the videos that have him in it.
@@x.MaverickHunter.x Why would they want to leave up videos that have a child predator in them? Why would they want salt rubbed in their wounds? Todd hid these videos for a reason and I fully support it. No one wants to be fucked over by a friend, and complaining that "not all the videos are hidden" definitely isn't helping their pain any. There are other channels that have all the hardcore series, and if I want I can watch them there. 🤷
The editting has really stepped up; I like the grayed out effect instead of just the red Xs. Kudos to Todd!

AAAAH this serious is literally the best thing. I just love how intense and depressing it can get, like holy crap, sometimes I want to shed a tear, even if they aren't dying in real life, It really effects how other people act, like before anyone dies it seems happy go lucky, and even when one person dies, boom, everyone is serious. I love it soo much :O
