One correction - queue federation does not divide number of messages on upstream and downstream. It shovels messages only when upstream have spare messages and downstream has a consumer which is ready to consume.
hello rohini, This is simply great. You have saved my day. thanks for creating wonderful doc. Everything worked perfectly for me. Now can you let me know, what if my primary cluster goes down and DR where downstream is setup will that work. Also, what if primary is up and running. how can federate queues and exchange vice-a-versa. If would be helpful for me.
I am getting this error in federation status . do you have any idea?
{socket_closed_unexpectedly,'connection.start'}
very well explanation. Have one doubt , If we will acknowledge upstream , downstream message not removed(acknowledged). Can you explain how the flow is?. And Can you post a video like how to push message from queue to queue (Federated queue)

Do you guys have any slack or discord server?
Also do I need to add federation plugin on each and every node of cluster? As I have test with enabling federation on primary rabbitmq on both cluster and it was working. Can you throw some light on it.
Thank you for your explanation!
I just followed your tutorial, but I got a {no_suitable_auth_mechanism,["CRAM-MD5","SCRAM-SHA-1","SCRAM-SHA-256"]} error when I tried to connecting with qpid broker. Could you have any idea to solve this problem?
Hello,
I followed the tutorial step by step, but when i checked the "Federation Status", the state of the upstream federation is stuck at "starting"-state and after a while the state becomes "error" and then the federation restarts the connection and goes back to "starting"-state, and again "error" and so on. do you have any idea why the federation is not able to start running?
Thanks for watching the video. While in error state, it must be showing the reason for the error. Can you help us with that error.
I am getting below error
{server_sent_malformed_header,}
Can you verify the URL you are using for federation. Does it contains correct protocol and credentials?
@@Appychip yeah you were right. My rabbitmq was setup on different post. Now it is working.
Love the tutorial but please take your time and talk slower cause its extremely hard to understand you with your accent.
