How sad. Honestly the entirety of darling harbour (maybe except for the icc and convention centre) didn’t need touching! The original Harbourside was fine the way it was there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and it in fact looked quite modern and new. And I mean the monorail. Made travelling around Sydney so much easier and faster and made it soo much more interesting going into the city but now, now it’s just full of ugly, grey buildings with a ridiculous amount of hotels and sooo much greenage on buildings😔
I might be in a minority but I would have preferred Harbourside had been left rather than demolished for another building, particularly a high rise.
I miss the monorail it made traveling around the city so much faster and was way more interesting then how it is now.

Looking at the artist impressions, looks like they'll be pretty courteous to the Ibis and Novotel, by not hiding too much of the view
