      Thank you 🥰 This comment means a lot. It is not lost, we (humanity) had lessons to learn from the fiat experience, but it is defiantly time for something new - a system imbued in Light. I'm excited about this future and glad we know it is systemically possible and happening thanks to Bitcoin. I am going to dive deeper into this in our next talk :) ✨

    • @Daniellaio
      @Daniellaio  19 дней назад +3

      I deeply understand your concern because even after we spoke about this during this talk - this question remained with me for months until it finally clicked. This is our current system upside-down so I understand how difficult this is to grasp and can only encourage you to continue to question this point. Jeff is right though, the point is that you can only do 3 things with your bitcoin:
      - Spend it: If you spend your Bitcoin, you are putting it back into circulation and making it available to the collective. Putting Bitcoin back into circulation provides capital for others to create new efficiencies that, in turn, benefit you. In order to acquire it again, you have to provide value to the network to receive Bitcoin because it has a limited supply.
      - Save it: If you hodl your Bitcoin, the amount available in circulation on the network becomes more scarce. When you save you provide yourself the opportunity for more future capital to spend. This also increases the purchasing power for the entire Bitcoin network.
      - Lose it: If you lose your Bitcoin, you make the asset even more rare - lost Bitcoin is like a donation to the network.
      No matter what happens, you have no more power than someone else on the network. I hope this helps.

    • @Daniellaio
      @Daniellaio  21 день назад +1

      Thank you and I understand your criticism - there was no context as to why I asked this question back in March 2023. The reason I gave no context is because I could foresee so much potential, but was not sure back then. I have so much more clarity now and I believe you will get more context around this question with the interview I will be sharing with Jeff next week. But here is what I saw and see even clearer now: When you have 8 billion people on a network distributing the knowledge, talent, and creativity to 8 billion other people, paired with the exponential progress of technology - all while humanity has time to explore what it truly means to be human on a deep level beyond money - including the depths of our 6th senses - I believe it is possible.

    If what you're saying is true, then the likelihood of BTC actually taking hold as a monetary system is going to take generations. That also means that BTC is likely going to go thru multiple crashes while it's still being compared to fiat in terms of value. That means that there's a high likelihood that BTC will see $10k again and see it multiple times, assuming it can survive that long.
    One of the things that's not being accounted for is that there has to be interest in BTC for it to survive. If it looks like BTC is going nowhere then BTC falls apart as there won't be people interested in processing transactions.
    As those blockchain nodes drop off, it becomes less distributed and opens up the door for institutions to take over the ledger. Once that's done, then BTC can then be hyped again as the people that want control of it now have it and they can do what they want with it as it's far easier to offset any new ledger nodes with their own to maintain majority ownership.
    This is its fatal flaw of BTC and what makes it extremely fragile.

    • @Daniellaio
      @Daniellaio  21 день назад

      "As long as it stays decentralized and secure, Bitcoin is inevitable" - Jeff Booth
      Agreed, this is why it is time for us to take personal responsibility.
      We are Bitcoin - if Bitcoin fails it is because we failed Bitcoin.
      Running a node, holding our keys, using it as a medium of exchange - this is how we have the power to reinforce the network.
      Contrary to fiat, we need to take personal, self-sovereign responsibility rather than forfeiting our freedoms.
      It's already happening, and it is happening fast.
      The future is in our hands directly experienced through our choices.
      We just need to make the sovereign choice.

    • @dasfahrer8187
      @dasfahrer8187 21 день назад

      @@Daniellaio Perhaps, but that's a big ask and is reliant upon a fragile ecosystem of faith and enthusiasm. The latter is time-based which also affects the former.
      The longer BTC goes without showing significant advancement in becoming a global monetary system, and not just a way for the ultra-wealthy and gov'ts to transport money, which it's so far failed to do despite the smartest minds on the planet's best efforts, the more the enthusiasm and faith will drop.
      This winds up becoming a death spiral for BTC, which is why it's going to be so difficult for BTC to survive another crash, much less survive multiple crashes over generations.
      Therefore, BTC has to sh*t or get off the pot, so to speak, if it wants to remain decentralized, secure and free. It's time is running out to prove that it can be a viable replacement for gov't fiat.
      Otherwise, it's doomed to be relegated the backchannels of society again because once the wealthy get in on it, which they are, and see that it's going nowhere, they're not coming back unless they can control it and make persistent, consistent, long-term profits from it.

    A bit culty sounding but okay. Bitcoin is just decentralized hard money. You won't reach enlightenment with Bitcoin lol that's ridiculous. Imagine Gold but decentralized, that's what Bitcoin is trying to achieve.

    • @Daniellaio
      @Daniellaio  19 дней назад +1

      I totally understand that this sounds culty like you said - but once we deeply understand the implications of the protocol on societal level and how money is used to manipulate everything we do - including our time - it makes sense. And then we can ask, who is the cult leader? There is none - because each individual is in control and in service of the collective in Bitcoin and beyond. It's powerful stuff.
