[WR] Returnal All Bosses speedrun in 23 min 09 sec and 800ms on PS5 (NG+, Glitchless)

- World record of the All Bosses NG+ Glitchless category of Returnal for PS5.
Finally a sub 24 minutes!!! Great RNG in biomes 3, 4, and 6.
Couldn't 1 cycle the Phase 2 of Nemesis, but the Phase 3 was tight!
This could be improved with:
- A Dreadbound for Phrike
- A better Spitmaw against Nemesis
- By using the Dreadbound and @SawJawRaptor's melee strat against Hyperion.
- By replacing the Spitmaw Blaster by the Thermogenic Launcher maybe?
- By not chocking the citadel tower 😅
Can go down to sub 22 minutes.
The NG+ All Bosses category is the longest NG+ run.
You start the cycle in act 1 and go through level 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6, beating respectively Phrike, Ixion, Nemesis, Hyperion, and Ophion the final boss of the game.
You need to have unlocked the True Ending to have access to the car down in the Abyss which marks the end of the run.
The strat used was a 2 weapons one. The Spitmaw Blaster and the Dreadbound were used.
The Spitmaw because it allows for the fast Nemesis kill and the dreadbound more specifically for Ophion.
Both guns can be used against Phrike and Ixion which increases the amount of valid runs making it to Nemesis (runs you don't reset in Biome 1 or 2).
On the other hand using the Spitmaw Blaster leave you powerless against the Phase 2 bug of the Nemesis fight. When it happens, it's an immediate reset (and it happens roughly 50% of the time).
I chose to play safe against Ixion and used the Sidearm (it also saved me the time necessary to open chests to find a gun in Biome 4). I did not feel comfortable enough to use the melee strat. The run is low vitality and you don't get any Silphium vial in Biome 6, so entering it with low health is very risky.
Finally I got great RNG with the last Dreadbound (Explosive Shards 3, 4th shard 3, and Expanding shards 2) so the last fight was quite fast!

Is theDreadbound weapon guaranteed in the 6 biome? I see it in most speedruns, im kinda new to the run
Nevermind, i figured out you play on a save file with only the dreadbound unlocked i guess, so you always get the weapon
@@LuckyNumberSlevn Yea that's pretty much it. Doesn't mean you will get it every run though but it increases the odds a lot.

Fuck!!!!! How do you make that jump so advanced? I am also an experienced player but I don't know what that jump is like? What button do I have to press on the dualsense?
Dash melee jump in that sequence and as fast after one another as possible
ok how in the hell did you kill ophion this fast? he was the tankiest boss for me. i shot all his red stuff and they didnt so much dmg like you did there. did they patch him ? lol
The Dreadbound does that to Ophion if it has Explosive Shards III, Expanding Shards III, and 4th Shard ^^
Ophion is pretty weak to all maxed weapons except maybe the Hollowseeker and the Rotgland Lobber.
But there is no NG+ in Returnal. Do you mean you beat the game just from 1 to last biome but not in fresh file?

only the two first are difficult, the rest are a bit too easy.
I find the 2nd (Ixion) and the 4th (Hyperion) to be the "hardest" in runs. But the real hardest stuff is weapon RNG and Nemesis bug RNG ^^
It's the getting used to the mechanics that gets easier, my GF watched every boss and she didn't play the game, she thought they got stronger, I thought they got easier but realized I was just getting better.

I can never get my DMJ to launch her that far. Usually she just DMJ's a pretty good distance, but nothing like yours. What are you doing differently?
I have a video on my channel about the different variations of DMJ you can do. Essentially, since jump and dash, height/distance are based on the duration of the button press, you can get different type of DMJs.
