I think that it's a simbolic game. I mean, I think that it show the futility of trying to hide mistakes. The more he board the house the more exposed it became. Until a point where the entire house is gone except the mistake. It end with the person receiving the punishment for it's mistake.

I know everyone is talking about the first and the last game, but Marc is a great reminder that you can always take a break even if you feel like you've gotten nothing done. I really enjoyed all of these and I have lots to say on all of them, but I don't think Marc gets enough attention compared to the others.

The House fangame was kinda cute and nice, I like the dialogue the sister gives about our childhood. Marc teaches us that sometimes it's nice to go outside and take a break from your everyday mundane life. I like the part where it gets faster and faster each time. Prepper was weird. I don't like how the light flashes. I do like how our bedroom was the last part with our.. wife? I do agree that it's probably a symbolic storm. The spinning to not look in her eyes was classic Manly
Prepper is a totally realistic take on how you should board up a house during a storm. The house losing boards is the intended effect, if your house isn’t falling apart while you board up windows due to strong winds you’re probably not doing it right.
_Being at home can really get tricky_ The House fan game was a pretty good student effort. Marc was an interesting reminder to stop and take time for ourselves. The Prepper game was hilarious - the more you boarded the windows, the more boards flew off the house so the only safe place was already occupied. Great commentary on all 3!
I don't know if you'll see this Manly, but I would like to recommend a game. It's called "Zombie Night Terror". Its a pixel style 2D game where you infect people with a zombie virus and complete different levels. Hopefully this reaches you. Also thank you.
It's awesome to see HOUSE getting a fan game, and I rather like the characters' sprites in it; they got that Gameboy style, I'll say that. The game itself clearly has some bugs, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Marc was nice, always good to have a reminder that you need time to decompress. You can't let the daily grind overwhelm you, it's those quiet moments where you just relax. As for Prepper, I feel they succeeded more in being comedic than scary considering you're so preoccupied strengthening windows as the literal walls of the house are torn away. Watching Manly play these games reminds me of the game I need to finish on Scratch. (Yeah, I know Scratch is pretty limited in what you can do, but hey, I gotta start somewhere.) The second game is pretty simplistic but I can kinda see what the devs were going for; while the first and third game have game mechanics that feel familiar. I wonder what platform ppl use to create games and maybe I'll become an indie game developer..? I dunno I'll focus on drawing character sprites ect for motivation and inspiration.
hey scratch is a great place to start! next step might be the program blender, rpgmaker(very very good option), and researching coding languages (surprisingly similar to scratch blocks!) good luck !!
С# is actually really easy programming language and there are a lot of tutorials for Unity on YT. Don't ever give up and set up your goals one at a time and you will make games in no time. P.S.: I have no games finished yet, but every game discarded is a lot of new experience. Don't be sad if you can't finish a game. Let go and move on and one day you will find it harder to not to finish the game than finish it.
You can make a game in anything, really - that's how we started learning Java and C# basics at college, by making very simple command prompt games! Now in uni studying Game Design, we use Unity and Unreal for the most part, but we also use Twine for game narration :)
The last one really has some great symbolic meaning. The storm is coming and everything crumbles around him, and he is only focused on fixing the small issues. A dead or dying loved one or giant problem he hides away, focusing on small adjustments instead of the whole picture, ignoring greater issues. In the end, unearthing greater issues in his blindness of fixing the smaller issues.

I really can't decipher anything else, I'm pretty sure most of them are gibberish words? Not sure if it has an actual meaning, but there definitely is words.

Construct is a pretty easy engine to learn. I would suggest watching a RUclipsr named vimlark, he makes dev logs on game jams he participates in.
