    It’s a little late, but that plastic piece on the original lanyard is meant to take a magnetic net keeper. Once loaded with the weight of a net, it’s far more comfortable. Also, Trout Hunter and Varivas spools fit in the tippet holders.
    The best feature of it is the magnetic deck that lays out in front when opened. This thing is really meant for working with the smallest of flies. 20 - 26. Thanks for the review!

    Great review! I also have this box, but only use it in the summer for a quick outing. I wanted to pass on to other users that Varivas tippet spools fit in the slots perfectly.

      Thanks for sharing! I'm not familiar with that brand but will certainly look it up. Tight lines!

    Very well done. Would love one but with a pacemaker and defibrillator, I can't wear it due to the magnets. I got caught out with the Simms sling pack so beware of magnets. Much appreciated down-under in NZ.

    Good review. Very informative. I fish freestone rivers only and feel awkward with anything on my chest when I think I need to see where my feet may need to go.

      It is certainly a nice option as an alternative to a chest pack to chest box! Glad you found this helpful. thanks for watching!

    Thanks for reviewing this. Are you going to post on Bugs and Brews?

    • @BackyardBassin
      @BackyardBassin  3 года назад +1

      That is my plan! My wife and I had a baby earlier this year so I've been struggling to find time to put out content. Fly tying is certainly a bit easier to squeeze in so I plan on shooting a few videos and will post to both channels. Thanks for following along! Glad to hear that someone liked the Bugs and Brews content!

    I was starting to wonder if you were still making videos.

      We are still at it! It's been very tough to get out content here of late though. My wife and I had a baby earlier this year which has consumed a lot of my free time and my brother Dan is stationed in Georgia and has a lot of Army responsibilities that take priority for him. We should still be able to get out a few videos a year though!
