Try painting on frame before cutting off, then touch up the cut points. You have a nice big item to hold and rotate as you paint. I find this method much easier when its an injection moulded part.
Thanks for the tip. I paint the plastic models just like I paint the lead or resin ones, and for the deck and hull I like much better to do it separately and with more freedom of action with the brush. Although looking at other channels it seems I'm the only one who does it this way... but it works for me. On the other hand, the plastic rigs move a lot for flexibility held with a clamp as I do now, I will have to try your system at least for that. Thanks for your comment!
Hey, I think I'm first. By the way, I'm not sure the "1812 Overture" may be the best choice for immortalizing a French ship. That said. the art work is amazing as always. Looking toward the next one. Well done!
Certainly, although the Marseillaise is played, it is only to remember the beating they were given... 😰 As here in Catalonia we have been having fireworks for Saint John's Day and it's not long before Independence Day in the USA, I think my subconscious has led me to use it 🥳 Thank you for your comment!
@@MinisMyWay All good history and well said. I'm no Napoleonic historian but but as I recall there was a fair amount of French "beating" that happened on the peninsula earlier in that war. Next time.
Such a tiny masterpiece ! Always impressed by your dexterity with this scale . Bravo

Great painting, when I get around to painting some Black Sails I'm going to (attempt) to copy this!
