    Burning definitely makes them pop and adding a dark watco for the makes it even better

      I do it to reduce the amount of friction when the axe enters the wood. Helps with the dreaded sticking that some axes do. Thanks for watching.

      Glad you asked. It is the process of joining the axe head to the handle plus making it fit correctly.
