So cute! I bought the postage collage dies and the original stamps, and I'm starting to collect the various "seasons." Leave it whole, cut it apart... so many ways you can arrange things! BTW, I use eye glasses cleaner on my stencils often, and it, too, works great. It's not as strong as glass cleaner, and I sometimes will even give my stamps a little spritz of it to remove a stubborn spot. Tfs.
Rainy Sunday - recovering from 2nd shoulder surgery, church on line followed by Mindy, Mindy, Mindy the talented! Well if one needs to be somewhat limited in what crafty things they can do, surgery was on my right dominant side, watch Mindy, be inspired, laugh and learn. Okay works for me! - Thanks Mindy
@@shawnae-k4533 Yes: 1. Ask for a nerve block this will help ride you through the initial post-op pain for about 36 hours. 2. If you have a recliner you may want to sleep there as lying down can be uncomfortable. If not plan on getting a wedge for either the back of your pillow or to rest your affected arm (or both). 3. Get a grabber or two when something drops to the floor or you need to reach a light weight item from above this little tool helps. 4. Do not chase pain, take your pain meds as prescribed for at least the first several days. Once the pain truly hits it takes longer for meds to catch up. 5. Hydrate, eat a well balanced diet, small bites are easier to handle if the arm is you dominant arm. You may need someone to cut up meat or other items. 6. If there are no small children in the home, ask the pharmacy to use non child proof caps, getting a push cap off with one hand is not very easy. 7. Get small bathroom cups this makes for less of a mess on the vanity and when using mouth wash. 8. Rest, rest, and rest. Your body will thank you. 9. Prep and freeze as many entrees cooking might not be something you wish to do at first, prepping at least the entree will help anyone who is helping you with getting food to the table. 10. If there are steps in your home that you must use to go upstairs practice now how to go up safely using one hand, again especially if the affected arm is your dominant side. 11. When allowed to shower, keep in mind you will not be able to raise your arm or move the elbow away from your side, if your shower requires you to step into the tub or even has a small step into the shower have someone with you slipping in the shower is never a good idea. Long reply but the tips should help. Wishing you a calm surgery and a low pain to no pain surgery.
@@shawnae-k4533 I forgot the one item that is probably not covered by your insurance; yet, is so helpful. Ask you surgeon if he/she approves the use a cool pack. This is a small footprint machine that can provide cooling relief for 4-6 hours. It is much better than trying to use an ice pack, as they tend to loose cooling quickly and is very hard to stay in place. I purchased the Ossur Cool Pack from Amazon, if was about $200 plus the cost of the shoulder pad, which I think was about $60. If you have a health saving plan or a federal saving account these items meet the standard for reimbursement. There are other brands on the market for a less/higher cost. Do your research and if the cost is in your budget I highly recommend the item. Keep in my that you can use it post op and once healed it is great for almost any issue that requires icing of the area.
Great card, Mindy! I love your choice of ink colors -- it gives a moody Halloween vibe. The postage collage products are a lot of fun and so versatile.
Great card. I love your color scheme. The postcard layout is great because it gives so many scenes. Suggestion: If you don't have anyone to send the card(s) to, send them to a public servant, fire chief, mayor, senator, or whoever. It's always good to let them know there are real people they're responsible for. Since they probably mostly receive complaints, a card like this would be an uplifting surprise for them.
I have a question Mindy? Is the die and stencil the basic tools? I guess Is this the same basic die and stencil shapes that originated with the postage stamp origins with Waffle flower?
the die is the basic die you would need that was released a while back. The Spooktacular stencil is one of many that can be used to fill in the postage areas and this one is recently released. Hope that helps
maybe not enough ink? also could depend on which inks you're using and what you are using to apply the color. flat blending brushes tend to give a softer look while regular blending brushes like Gina K Designs apply more color.

What did you use to “ stick” the stencil to the paper?
grip mat also linked in the video description
I can't get such rich colors when I stencil. Is it doubling the colors or ??
