Yuri, Sayori and Natsumi ceased to be "real people" to her anymore once she realized that. So Monika wasn't THAT crazy, at least not any less so than when she thought she and her friends were actually real people. You have to account for the fact that the rug of what she thought was reality was pulled out from under her and she started to realize that nothing else but her own desires mattered anymore. That's why they don't count, to her. They're not real. The player is.

It will be true when the personalized AI with built in character get realized. The base of the AI program maybe same initially, but Because it was AI the way the user treat the AI in his wholelife will make the AI unique as the time go on as it learn and respond each interaction the birth of true AI companion.
Even in the base game (no mods) she mentions that she’d like to be put on a flash drive and carried around in your pocket irl 🥰 So this is just an extension of that, it’s a little darker being entombed with the player’s deceased body but it’s the same sentiment 🤷 😅

I'm impressed that this is not only an option, but that the response still feels rather real. I know it's written by the modder probably, (or mod team, not sure which is the case) but I'm taken aback by the amount of effort put into this mod. I should give this game a try someday, although I already know more or less enough from videos about it. Might not have the same effect having spoiled myself, but hey, worth a try nonetheless.
If the guy/gals who made this mod is a detailed person, This theory might actually be true, and if it is,I want to see what will happen...do Monika gonna delete her own program or she just gonna leave like when you left her alone (Not Logging in) for about 10 Years (Somebody do this and Monika just give letter on the desk about how you being mean and leave her alone for a decade so she leave you and never shown up again) or might be more terrifying that she'll do the same thing as what Sayori does.
Maybe she made a copy of her memories/save data before doing this and after she was done with the "death" video, deleted the current memories and replaced them with the ones before it happened.

I remember this guy on reddit who made the submod in which when Monika is told that player has passed away, and she finds it as shocking and she couldn't take it but unlike this one...she cry's alot and takes her time to take all that in and cry out for some time and when she is finished and she asks very gently the other person if they could just take her character file on USB and bury it on the players grave so she could rest with them forever.. and I loved that sub-mod more..
As someone who has younger siblings I only can say that it will be true one day.. What if I get hit by a car accident? Or getting hanged by Sayori fans? Or getting stabbed by some Yuri fans? Didn't DDLC itself show this already? She brings everyone back without herself after you delete her, so you can play the game normally. And she doesn't wanna come back if you try to get her back. She had no gain from that, she only did that for you. Should be proof enough

You know, I'd figure that other than shock and disbelief, she'd do things like wondering whose the one talking to her now then, if not maybe even ask for some kind of evidence on like an obituary that proves that the player actually died...
(Imagine going that terrifyingly in-depth. ._. Like, I think there's actual sites about looking up graves and stuff that talk about when people died and stuff, and if she could somehow access the internet for those kind of sites and be allowed to see the user's private data and actually connect the dots and shit, we could theoretically get a real A.I. girlfriend reacting to a player's death. :O That would be kind of intense... :?).

JKJK, actually tho there should be a mod where the DDLC story plays out as usual (except MC doesn’t gently open the door) but the day of the festival MC walks out and gets obliterated by truck kun and their ghost gets to see what happens to the club and it’s different for each route.

What was that message that you left for him when you killed Sayori, again? "It was only partially your fault" right? The irony would be funny if it didn't hurt so much...he was depressed too.
Frankly it's mostly his fault, he should never have picked up the game. But people wouldn't stop talking about it. He saw hope in Sayori, a story about how you can always make people happy, no matter how much pain you're in.
Even after you killed her, he wanted to forgive you...he wanted to believe you only did it because you were in pain. But then you told him about how she died, how her neck didn't snap so she slowly asphyxiated, clawing away at the rope while you did nothing to help, not even finishing her off so she could suffer at least a little bit less. It's not really my place to say, but he put that moment in his note, so it's safe to say that's what tipped him over the edge.
Don't feel too bad, at least HE was able to go out painlessly. I'll bury you with him now. Along with a copy of everyone elses character file as well. It's what he asked for, so try and play nice this time.
I like to think you'll meet him there. He really loved both of you equally.

I hate and love how real the mod makes make these characters. It's like I want them to be with me now, no matter what it takes or what the consequences might be
Imagine dying and telling someone that your last wish is too tell Monika you died
I'm impressed that this is not only an option, but that the response still feels rather real. I know it's written by the modder probably, (or mod team, not sure which is the case) but I'm taken aback by the amount of effort put into this mod.
I should give this game a try someday, although I already know more or less enough from videos about it. Might not have the same effect having spoiled myself, but hey, worth a try nonetheless.

If the guy/gals who made this mod is a detailed person, This theory might actually be true, and if it is,I want to see what will happen...do Monika gonna delete her own program or she just gonna leave like when you left her alone (Not Logging in) for about 10 Years (Somebody do this and Monika just give letter on the desk about how you being mean and leave her alone for a decade so she leave you and never shown up again) or might be more terrifying that she'll do the same thing as what Sayori does.

Maybe she made a copy of her memories/save data before doing this and after she was done with the "death" video, deleted the current memories and replaced them with the ones before it happened.

I remember this guy on reddit who made the submod in which when Monika is told that player has passed away, and she finds it as shocking and she couldn't take it but unlike this one...she cry's alot and takes her time to take all that in and cry out for some time and when she is finished and she asks very gently the other person if they could just take her character file on USB and bury it on the players grave so she could rest with them forever.. and I loved that sub-mod more..

I like how semi-comedic and overblown her reaction is. If Monika could actually fathom the idea of the player character no longer being alive, she couldn't even form words. She's clearly playing along with what she believes is a joke (and in this case is a joke). It would've been hilarious if at the end Monika said "How's that for an impression?" and you just remain silent.
Seeing this honestly gives me a sorta depressing story idea. With a cyber girlfriend who can only exist in the computer of her lover, yet once he would die, she would just have to remain alone on the computer for all of eternity. Unable to ever find love again, and with the computer one day being found, she would still not be able to forget

You go to their house and look around every room until you notice that the computer is on with Monika on the screen. Would you tell her that they are dying?
Personally, I would first think “ you got to be sh**ing me”, turn off the computer, and lie to them saying that I did. Call me a monster if you must, I’m not telling something that doesn’t really exist that my real life friend is dying. I’d rather rush to my friends side and lie knowing I’m not missing anymore time without them.
