Recently, I have seen a similar case in USA where they paid 120 dollars Just for doctor visit. In India, we pay between 200rs to 1000rs for doctor consultation. Most of the time, it will be less than 500rs. In government hospitals, consultation is free. We hardly spend less than 1000rs for consultation and pharmacy for normal health problems. Good thing is that, now a days insurance companies are paying OPD bills as well which is a good thing.

Along with that medicines, clinic rentals, equipment, etc has a cost attached to it. So unless you are willing to provide housing, groceries, all facilities and services to the doctor's for free, no doctor will work for free. There is a difference between vijay talking about free doctors while earning crores himself when compared to reality. :)
