Hi, For two days I have been searching as to how to best use my paint coating thickness device CM-218 by VVV group. You hit the nail on the head with explaining averaging as well as making sure the item is flat on the surface. Now I see why I had a crazy spike in one of my readings. The device says no calibration needed even though they give you calibration films. Can you go over calibration (if needed)? Keep up the great work! Richard
I have one. I am completely lost on how to use it. If anyone can help please let me know. My suggestion to anyone getting a coating thickness gauge ; get one that's manufactured in America.
Yeah. I have a great $98 VVV- Group Model CM218 that I bought on Amazon. It was made in China. The device is really nice but there seems to be an assumption that I already know how to use it. The print is so small on the directions so I could not read it comfortably. Again a good product but I really prefer to buy Made in USA! Will research more carefully next time.

Why do you have a flag as your background for a paint thickness gauge video? .... And you don't have a link to the Gauge you did the video about but a bunch of links to other products? smh
Forgive me, but throughout all my videos I do my best to not only provide a review on the tool/product but also provide quality knowledge as well. Because of this my videos are longer at times. I'm not Jimbo or pan the organizer
How’s this one compare to the nexptg. As far as accuracy I’ve noticed paint gauges being way diff numbers. When compared

Hi , can it tell if a vehicle has three layers or ceramic coating on car?
Depends on the thickness of the coating!
Do you have to pay import tax or customs
You do have to pay tax
Keep up the good work man, I am learning from you. Is there a site where I can send in donations?
