The way I saw my other peers go crazy and they were crying for help and attention. Kids need structure. It may suck in the moment, but it gives us home training.
So many of my peers envied the people who had parents involved. They longed to have both parents or even know them. Being neglected or let to run wild is *way worse* than having two loving strict parents.

Damn, parents really scar their children with all this negativity and overreaction to normal hormonal changes. I had similar experiences and I swear I wish our parents knew better. They do admit it now when I try to explain to them why all that behaviour is completely normal and they shouldn't have repressed it.
