I like how the title says "low budget" and "amazing" instead of "bad FX". The effects might not be photorealistic or polished, but the people making these films have tried and did their best with the little money they had. And sometimes, they were really creative!

No it wasn't. Still crap CGI, even at that time. It was just cheap 70's tv special effects. Stuff you see in things like Doctor Who. Compare that with films like The Exorcist, Dawn of the Dead, Phantasm, Halloween and so many others to name. Horror films around at the same time or even before (even with a low budget). It was still pretty bad compared to all of them.
