The commentary was on cities side from second 1 and seemed Madrid didn’t get their fair share, amazing comeback from Madrid and pep has only gone and stuffed another champions league game, crazy game, can see Madrid winning the whole thing they got that weird knack of just being able to get that final say in the game, going to be a huge final
@@samuellhon8663I don’t know why I even bothered watching bt you could’ve watched the city channel and had the same commentary some shocking bias for seemingly no real reason either
Can you really blame that on pep too much. I mean he’s almost nailed that game and it’s more defensive lapses in the final moments down to individuals which lost them the match. Maybe pep gambled that they had it done with the subs but he has to put fresh legs on somewhere
As a Real Madrid fan we are not the best team but for long stretches of the game we dominated, we kept swinging and going for it, the commentary was unbearable on cbs sometimes I wonder if we were watching the same game. City missed their chances and so did we and both teams actually played well despite them not taking the chances given. I see you asking stupid questions like if Real Madrid are good? We are a traditional counter attacking side without fancy possession tactics and can only play well if we are attacked, City,Chelsea and PSG all came out playing to our strengths by going at us thinking we are easy pickings and all 3 were smashed by our resilience. We are a fighting team with a rock solid mentality so I beg you to put some respect on our name.
Same bro I don't know if they are watching the same game. Real were better in 2nd leg the only chances city got were counter attacks when the defence was wide open in 2nd half. Benzema missed a header amd offside on 2 occasions and vini could score atleast 2 goals despite not controlling the ball in 2 occasions when he was thru on goal.
respect the history and heritage but as a club arrogant, entitled and along with Barcelona inflated transfer fees to stupid levels. Not to mention Super League BS. Granted Liverpool owners did the same but the fans demonstrated and the owners backed down. As far as I am aware Perez is stilling wanting it despite sh*tting on the rest of the competition. I'm not a Liverpool fan but I hope they hammer Madrid and get revenge from their previous meeting. There is no way this side can be compared to the other RM sides in the past.
It's crazy how Rodrygo scored both normal time goals to take it to extra time and volleyed in that awesome Modric pass and he barely gets a mention. No offence to James but he didn't even know Rodrygo's name when he was talking about the second Madrid goal (think he thought it was Mariano Diaz?)! The lads come up massively for them, crazy good impact sub along with Camavinga but Rodrygo deserves headlines for sure!
Yep, seems like English experts/football youtubers know only starting XI for Madrid since it hasn't changed too much in lat 7 years. It's so lazy to not know like 15 best players of SEMIFINALIST of Champions League. And it's not miraclous Villarreal, it's best side in history Real Freaking Madrid
They're English... they think football starts and ends in the prem, when none of the teams in the prem come even close to Real Madrid's stature and reputation in this sport.
Your champions league depiction of how good city must be to win the trophie, was fantastic. You always find a way of perfectly and simply defining different aspect of the game, wether they be minor intricate details, or larger scale ideas. I love your videos James. Keep up the good work
Makes sense when you consider that Pep’s only successes in the champions league was with probably the best club side to ever be assembled, which also included the best footballer to ever play the game, while playing a brand of football that revolutionised the game. That’s all.
He created that team and that brand of football Messi wasn’t as good as he became he was fairly young. But carry on and keep that energy the best player in the 2009 team was Eto. 2011 Messi was now the best player in the world my opiate a Barca fan.
@@carolinegardner8214 That's true but the point remains. There were special talents within that team. Pep had an influence on how great a lot of them became. With another manager maybe Messi wouldn't have become the best ever and the midfield three may not have been the best ever, but the talent was there.
As a RM fan i'll say @21:39 : No problem mate, you keep at it!! We love it when we are getting sub-estimated. Absolutely love it, the mind bending aerobics; in the after match reactions. When you can't see what you are doing wrong, you can't improve it. Thats why RM has 13 and City ZERO UCLs ZERO after spending 1.5 billions of unearned money from an oil exporter... Trust me, is all magic and mental fortitude. Whatever Guardiola is doing, he should stop and send the squad to Hogwarts. Edit: Thats why RM has 14* and City ZERO(yeah still ZERO). And PSG? Yeah, still ZERO.
Real Madrid funded by the government through one of the most corrupt owners of all time 🤦what are you on about? Don’t make out this is some underdog story of a side that don’t spend money. You idiots spent €138 MILLION in 2001 on 2 players, where did that money come from?
Ancelotti has lost a final after going up 3-0, he has seen it all and nothing fazes him anymore. For better or worse, he doesn't make a lot of changes.
We cannot accept this "city have no striker" narrative. They have several world class forwards. Liverpool don't play with a striker either, but they still score goals, just like city do. Its just an excuse from those bottlejobs
It’s probably more nuanced than that at this point - they don’t have a striker, but more importantly they don’t have a top level goal scorer. Liverpool don’t have a striker but they definitely have at least one player, and Mane is on form two, who you can basically rely on to score a goal. Mahrez is close to it but I think lacks the physical traits to be the predatory player that really matters in UCL competitions. Anyway, whether you think they need one or not, there’s a reason they’re going all in for Haaland
@@Jardermorder are you delusional? It was literally a teenager that put the final two nails in city’s coffin. Benzema’s winning goal was just a formality
As much as I admire the city team, the thing they lack (outside of a striker) is losers tenacity. Perhaps that is the consequence of being a team that’s been able to cruise through so many games, but they simply do not have the plan in them to flip a game after being flipped themselves like this, especially against hungry individuals like Benzema. Their mechanical approach is impeccable to a point, but if the alarms start ringing and another team is at their throats, they can’t claw it back. I also think Pep made a poor choice in bringing in Fernandinho. He was certainly thinking defensively, but once those two goals came in, Fernandinho became the squads dead weight. That missed chance will be a haunter no doubt.
@@Logddvvxse2451 League cup FA cup mean nothing to big teams like City and Liverpool. City will now win the League because its all they can win. Liverpool could lose to Real Madrid and and end up with nothing important
City had the opportunity to kill this tie at etihad but didn’t take it , maybe because of that psychological barrier. That is ultimately where to tie was lost , they allowed Madrid to always remain one foot in the game always. To answer your question JLA to whether city bottled it: most definitely. There is no situation in which you can be two goals up heading into injury time and not bring it home, no matter if it feels like the officials are against you or anything like that.
@@decode3667 We are back, but Kudos to Madrid. Happy that violent thug Ramos is gone. It was sick what he did to Salah. But happier we actually hhave a top keeper this time.
Real won against PSG, the team that have the best squad on paper Real won against Chelsea, the current Champions of Europe Real won against City, the team with the greatest squad depth and the champions of England I think Liverpool will just be a formality for Real
To answer your question. It indeed makes sense. City remind me of psg a lot they are a team of bottlers. They quake and they shake. Honestly if Chelsea didn’t play so awedully in the first game I’d fancy them over Madrid but it’s a game of two legs so Madrid have to experience.🤷♂️
@@ra7671 That's whataboutism. Casemiro should 100% have been booked multiple times. What other players have done in the past isn't relevant. Glad City bottled it again ultimately though, so oh well.
There was one instance that caught my attention. City had a corner, they played it short, then Cancelo got the ball surrounded by RMA players and he just crosses into Courtois’s hands.
Ultimately it's what seems to happen with Pep a lot in big European away games. He goes way too conservative in my opinion. His idea of perfection in these games is 0-0 with no shots from either side, that's how it feels anyway. Just look back throughout his history with Man City and you'll see it. Spurs away, Liverpool away, and now Real away. Even the Atletico game his team are miles better than Atletico and he made it nervy for no reason. His teams don't play with the same courage that they do at the Etihad, and whether that's a mental block or his instructions I don't know, but he needs to fix it, or he'll never win the champions league. And Real Madrid on the other hands Jim, I'm like you, and Guillem Balague has it right. As football fans. We. Know. Nothing. They make absolutely no sense at all, look clueless most of the time, then out of nothing a switch flicks and they become football gods. The best footballers always end up at Real Madrid, so it gives them the opportunity to do something world class from nowhere, but to keep doing it over and over and over again, boggles the mind. But it's football, and it's why we love it!
@@Peacock__ It's been clear this season that Real Madrid have been the comeback kings, domestically and in Europe. You don't leave anything to chance. Surely we can agree that City didn't end the game with their strongest 11 playing, it's like they thought it was won. Pep's win rate in knockout ties away from home is actually quite poor as well, so let's not act like he isn't prone to mistakes too.
Were I Eddie Howe, I'd be telling my players that Man City are hurting, and will be looking to take out their frustrations on Newcastle, but that that also means that they can completely lose their heads. If Newcastle go a goal ahead, or keep Man City at bay for 60 minutes, then Man City's heads might go.
I think one of City's problems is they don't have a player in that team that has won the champions League before, they don't have that guy that has the experience, can rally them all together, that's my guess, sometimes tactics don't apply but more experience, and Real Madrid have an abundance of it
@@saganrox6163 yes, true, what I really meant after thinking more about it is that i look at that City team and I wonder who is the leader? Who out if them can help rally them in tough games? You look back and Chelsea had Cech, Cole, Drogba etc, Liverpool had Henderson, Milner even VVD when he joined he expressed a lot of leadership qualities. I don't see that in City's team, you know what I mean? That's been something that City have lacked since Silva and more so Kompany left, Kompany was that leader that help City in tough moments, but they don't have that any more, they'll probably spend big in the summer, buy Haaland for £90-100million+ and buy others but sometimes you don't need that, they need a Milner back in that squad, a leader
@@aaronleonard641 yeah but their fans were too stuck up their own arse saying they don’t need him and he would hinder them. Yeah right 🤣 Kdb behind this version of ronaldo would be illegal. Small transfer fee, short term signing & wages pay for itself due to the commercial value he brings.
Ferland Mendy's clearance of the line just shows how Man City really couldn't brake the barrier. Many missed chances at Etihad and in Madrid cost them, 2 penalties in two games not mentally capable of the biggest moments (im aware they win EFL cup a lot it aint the same)
This wasn't a bottle. It's just a masterclass from anchelotti. I can't discredit pep he had the team to win it. it's just man city's lack of killer instinct which real had over them.
Pep sold Ferran Torres to Barca to try to help them out I suspect after they had to sell Messi and to finish the game without KDB, Jesus and Mahrez on the pitch is criminal
Credit to real madrid and rightfully so but this was a Bottle job by city, theres no excuse and its so great to see them keeping their "amazing " ucl record still.
@@user-vi6wf4gh9x Exactly. They were in total control from the game in the Etihad and threw it all away. It was a pure bottle job with the collapse at the 2nd leg
Pep had the striker in Ferran Torres. I suspect he was trying to do Barca and the player a favour by letting him go and has been punished accordingly. KDB, Jesus and Mahrez taken off left Man City toothless and was bordering on criminal negligence. Especially away from home and after what Man City have been through in prev.years in the CL
As a Liverpool fan, Trent will be having nightmares about Vinicius, but equally Real will be having nightmares about Trent and the boys. The tie should have been City’s, they had so many chances over two legs but were really wasteful, if we turn up then we should win this because we have better goalscorers in crucial moments than City. Gonna be some final and I back Mo to get his revenge for 2018
People are acting so shocked when city wastes tons of chances created. They literally don’t have a striker. It is nothing surprising. Maybe Guardiola will someday remember how football is played
@@NomaHirudo I don’t get this excuse mate, it’s done my head in all season, they literally have Gabi Jesus, Liverpool won the league and champions league with Bobby at centre forward, he’s never been an out and out striker in his life, unlike Jesus. Mo has never been a striker and neither has Mane, Liverpools recruitment is just incredible and we’re victims of our own success, because as a result of our recruitment everybody just insinuates that our forwards are strikers when none of them are
@@jackd8094 Jesus is a striker but he is not actually played in that position. As for Liverpool, there’s nothing I can object about them. I think Mane played at center forward at Southampton but I could be wrong, I don’t watch the prem that much.
@@NomaHirudo it’s just been driving me mental, Because Mo and Mane haven’t been playing centre forward either like Jesus but they score goals consistently, I hated the narrative throughout the year that Pep is a generational genius because Man City are playing without a striker, even though they literally have a striker and they sold Ferran Torres in January, but Jurgen done it all with Bobby up top. I agree with you completely that it’s massively down to Peps failings mate. Do you reckon that Haaland would actually solve their problems? Or is there any risk that he’d make them less fluid?
The thing that gets me is that Real look really poor when attempting to build up in the defensive third, but as soon as they get into the middle and final third they pass it around in a one, two touch fashion with complete ease. Militao looks shaky in the early build up but will then make a 30 yard driving run, taking out like 5 players. They are such a weird team it beggars belief
As a Liverpool fan I’m so happy. We may still lose against Madrid, but the pressure of playing city in the final (especially since we will likely fall short to them in the league again) would have caused me physical damage. A massive relief for the reds
I agree completely. They would’ve had a massive edge winning that league against us a bit like Utd did against Chelsea in 08 final. Also a bonus could be how it may effect their league form for the last few games. Fingers crossed they bottle that too
Both teams in the final have a sense of destiny about them. Real Madrid because of the comebacks in the knockouts and Liverpool because the reason they're here in the first place is because of a last minute goal by Alisson at West Brom.
Can you be average and beat PSG, Chelsea, and MC consecutively? If you can, can you call those three defeated teams good? If RM stun Liverpool in same manner they did the other three, will they be good or lucky? Is RM only good if they win in a manner historically considered to be good? Does the definition of good need to be broadened? Bend but don’t break is not a style that just any team can play, but when we see one that does, we seem to have a hard time believing it.
The dislike, fear and jealosuly english football fans have from Real Madrid and Spanish football is actually so funny. Premier league fans realising that they can have all the fraudulent money clubs in one oil league and get so much PR and still Real madrid will forever be the biggest and the greatest club closely followed by Barca. The fact that this club was disrespected even when they won a 3 peat which btw will never ever ever be achieved again, just shows how the world views Real madrid and its just pure jealously cause they know their club cant do and achieve what Real Madrid can. Liverpool have got no destiny. Real Madrid are winning their 14th. And never ever bring man city under pep into discussions about the greatest club sides. These frauds keep statpadding against plumbers and below average players in thier league and cant hack it when european teams who dont give a fuck about city body them every time. I will never rate these home bullys from england who dominate against some average teams in the premier league.
Man City players play for themselves and their manager. Real Madrid players play for half a billion people and 120 years of history. You don't get last minute desire from hollow teams.
Really nice to hear you adjust that little bit of Phil Jackson philosophy to the game of football. He's a basketball legend and a lot of his philosophy can carry over to football since it's not always about tactics, but how to deal with players and manage the mental aspect of games.
I think you’re spot on about the mental barrier and lack of a plan B. There’s obviously an inherent issue with how we approach cup games and when we’re against the clock. Just look at the number of goals we have conceded in the UCL vs the PL. They clearly don’t have the mental resilience. Haaland fixes a lot of the issues we have but Real Madrid’s cup run proves mental fortitude is just as important as ability. Thought Pep actually coached the team really well over both legs. He got the tactics spot-on in the first leg to exploit a shaky Madrid back line and we should have put the tie to bed in Manchester. The substitutions through the 2nd leg were questionable though, I thought Aké would’ve been the perfect sub to close out the game like he did against Atletico because of his aerial dominance. The referee was just awful from the start and didn’t control the game. The scrap at the start was his fault for not booking Casemiro for 2 obvious yellow card offences, booking sterling for a great tackle and then not calling a foul on him at the end, 3 minutes added time then blowing the whistle early despite Militao. But none of that excuses blowing a 2 goal advantage in the 90th minute. The first goal was Cancelo not joining the defensive line and playing Benzema onside and the second was just bad marking and no size in the box. Oh well, now to close out the premier league and go again next year. CTID.
Your comment about what would happen if it was 0-0 in the first half of the final was absolutely spot on. As a Liverpool fan I knew things were rocky when that first half went goalless.
City were great, but Football is NOT played with money, it's played with football players. The Crest Man City means nothing in Europe, Real's crest means 13 titles
Lol I don’t get what game you guys watched. How did Shitty play well? The ONLY difference between the two teams (besides goals) was shots on target. Benz missed an easy header hes usually make and Vini had 3 chances that he’d score on almost any other time. Madrid could’ve just as easily been up 3-0 before the Mahrez goal.
As a Liverpool fan this was the final I wanted, sick of playing city but I do fear that Madrid will take advantage of the sloppy passes and lapses of concentration that have recently crept into our game. Just hope Madrid have used up all their luck 🙏🏽
@@rodrigob8164 I didn’t say it was pure luck just meant they’ve had their fair share of pretty unbelievable moments. Of course any team that reaches the final is there on merit
No one in Liverpool's defence can afford to have an off day. Villareal exposed LFC early doors in the 2nd leg. Any drop off and the likes of Vini, Benzema and Modric will carve you up. On the upside, Mane, Diaz and Mo will terrify Carvajal & Mendy. Will be a classic game for sure!
People seems to forget that Ancelotti did a few brilliant things. He got Vinicius to basically exhaust Walker, force the sub, force Cancelo changing sides and then start to attack on the right instead of the left. Then, 2 goals coming from the right. That was a strategy. Then, bring on Camavinga to instead of playing a passing game, just conduct the ball with his long legs from defense to attack with Man City players not ready to defend that. And then, he carried the ball in the penalty. Militao leaves with cramps, and he brings in Vallejo and Lucas. Move Carvajal to the center so Vallejo is flanked by Nacho and Carvajal and then he goes on to win his first two challenges because he feels protected and can risk it (now think of how Fernandinho risk it and blew it in the first leg against Vinicius). That's fitting the game plan to the game, the players instead of fitting the players to a system. Brilliant Ancelotti coaching. And do not forget that Benzema had an off day until the 90' minute. Could've, should've scored in the 4th mon. Laporte could have easily been sent off for slapping Modric. And there could have been a second penalty for Madrid for handball when it was already 3-1.
The last 6 mins of that game will haunt City for a long time. Real showed the mental strength it takes to win games like last night. When the second goal went in for Madrid, I knew that was it for City. Unbelievable. Madrid have not been great in the Champions League this year, but get the job done. You have to admire them for that.
City lost the tie in the first leg. Should have scored at least 6 and finished with a bigger winning margin. I knew Real would be a different beast in the 2nd leg.
The problem with the sinplicity of stating that ciry need a striker is that team and the way they play will have to have a fundamental change almost like an evolution. Who do you drop. Who You offers the width now. Another central player menaing the 8ths dont play as high so the full backs cant come inside without overcongestion.
Real’s front 3 are better than city’s attack Modric is better than the entire city’s midfield combined Ederson is literally a mediocre goalkeeper in terms of shot stopping (they only aspect that actually matters for a goalkeeper) Grealish was bought for 100 million and he is not even at the level of Rodrygo’s toe. Real Madrid is a well managed team. City is full of money but have a board that redefines the term incompetence.
City are fantastic flat track bullies, hence why they steamroller most of the league. Against more experienced and capable opposition like in the late stages of the Champions League, their lack of a player with a killer instinct is obvious. Sterling, Grealish and Foden all bottled great chances at the end, and they paid for it.
This city no striker shit has to stop, they’ve spent exorbitant amounts. Liverpool have no striker yet still score goals. City score plenty of goals just not when it matters in the cup games
Think the idea of "being so far gone" is a great point. Once they win it they'll get over that mental block but they need to have that attacking firepower to kill ties off with no pressure in the later stages of games and eventually win it
Attacking power how many forwards do you want the man to have he has the most costly assembled squad ever sold ferran torres and took off jesus he gets credit when he wins he needs to take criticism he is overrated as a manager he is a chequebook coach and can't do shit without Messi iniesta xavi simple as
Sterling and Nacho’s challenges were not the same. Sterling was a foot of the floor and very close to the player, Nacho was literally just clearing the ball and wasn’t in anywhere near the player
Totally agree with you on this James. City just don’t seem to have the mentality to just go and find a way to win when they need to win and find themselves under the coach especially in cup competitions. I think City have a better side than Liverpool but Liverpool especially in the cups will find a way to win much like Real Madrid and City are just missing that
You were asking if Real Madrid are good? They are playing the final right? Isn't conversion rate a thing too? Real Madrid likes being considered an underdog despite its status as a club so I would be wary of motivating them
Sat and watched it with my dad, he said it was over when City scored but I was saying to him no it's Madrid they always pull something out the bag. Didn't entirely believe it but wow.

Players in such teams get ache in their stomachs when the tide changes & the horror feeling takes over & convinces them that the story of their demise was already written & struggle to resist. This year final would be a lesson in psychology. RM & Liverpool are two experienced teams with long history that have mastered the ART of the COMEBACK.
This defeat is going to affect City's image sorely ... They're going to be seen as a joke because they just can't get over the line.....If they cannot win the champions league next season I think people will look at them the same way they look at Spurs. Not in the league... but in Europe. Every team they play will now think they have a chance against them once they have the right game plan. Tottenham proved it, Lyon proved it... Chelsea proved it. No matter what they do in the league it is irrelevant at this point. They HAVE to win the Champions League next season or the reputation they've tried to build over the last decade will crumble. You cannot be one of the richest clubs in the world, with the most expensive team and with arguably one of the best managers ever and still not be able to win a UCL.....that is banter level stuff. Pep bottles the Champs league so much because he over manages. I think it’s similar to Bielsa. I appreciated the Phil Jackson quote for that reason. Pep messes around with it too much.
I think the problem is City don’t have a great champions league history to fall back on when the going gets tough. When Liverpool were 3-0 down against Barca in 2019 they have Istanbul as evidence they CAN come back (against a mental Milan side) and can galvanise around that. City are an incredible team and are so used to being on the front foot that when they start losing possession and are under immense pressure they just don’t know what to do!
Klopp actually took Phil’s advice as well yesterday in keeping the midfield 3 of Fabinho, Thiago, and Naby on for the second half after having a horrendous first half. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. I believe Klopp and Carlo are both managers that tend to like to leave things be in their line ups rather than tinker and make too many changes. Number 2, Madrid are magic, that is correct! However Villareal had a cinderella run in the CL, had a bit of magic against Liverpool and Liverpool nipped them in the bud. Im excited!

You missed to say, poor score goals of City considering their opportunities and also give some credit to RM. RM scored six goals in both games, not even Liverpool has not done that. And last game Benzema and Vinicius were not in their best night.

Man City, despite all the money they spent and all the world class players they have, they do not have any players that have won the UCL. Look at Madrid, they’re losing 4-3 but you could tell from kick off that Benz, modric, kroos, etc. They were calm, they’re faces said “ya it’s fine, we can comeback, don’t worry” City don’t. Like you said city have this psychological wall that they keep running into at face level. If they bought a few players that can see above that wall, that can see the other side, then they will win the UCL. Tbh I knew from the beginning of the tie that real would win. Great video James.
Let’s not forget that at the begining of the game Laporte should be sent off for literally slapping Morric. What a moron. I like how Madrid pulled off a fantastic win and the only praise James gave them was Camavinga and complained ab the refs and Madrid players “antics”. Classic English pundit. People always say how much better the Prem is then La Liga yet a La Liga team just knocked out the #1 and #3 teams in the Prem

Kyle Walker didn't keep Vinicius Jr quiet? It was Kyle & Rodry or even Cancello came to help, it was rarely 1v1, it was 3v1. Foden was kept under wraps by Carvajal, there was no need to mark him with 2 or 3 players. Also, most of this game... Real Madrid were the better team. They would have scored if Benzema & Vinicius wouldn't have had a shit game, most of the team was amazing... defense & midfield.
Thank you. People put it down to City being “off”. But why were they off?? Madrid passed through their press to make a few chances that Madrid didn’t take and on the other side, City had large spells where they couldn’t make the first pass out or pressure. People act like Real Madrid are “mediocre” but as soon as that first goal went in and 6 added minutes went up, they were all over City. Rodrygo even could have ended it before extra time. And once it was 2-2 did anyone really think City would score ??
City was dominant but not in their usually way of keeping the ball more being defensively sound and no easy chances. I mean real Madrids best goal was a paneka pen so I guess that sums them up.
RM is underestimated because Valverde Camavinga and Rodrygo are world class but nobody is aware yet
La masia pr is not there
Probably the greatest 2 legged tie in CL history imo.
1st game the most entertaining semi final I've seen. Incredible forward play.
2nd game..
Camavinga is one of those players you can’t keep your eyes off he’s sensational
The commentary was on cities side from second 1 and seemed Madrid didn’t get their fair share, amazing comeback from Madrid and pep has only gone and stuffed another champions league game, crazy game, can see Madrid winning the whole thing they got that weird knack of just being able to get that final say in the game, going to be a huge final
Exactly. I hated the BT sport commentary

Can you really blame that on pep too much. I mean he’s almost nailed that game and it’s more defensive lapses in the final moments down to individuals which lost them the match. Maybe pep gambled that they had it done with the subs but he has to put fresh legs on somewhere

Real are just something else
The commentators aren’t bad, they’re just EXTREMELY bias and they don’t care about showing it.
This madrid team deserves to win just because of the willpower they have displayed. Pure heart
respect the history and heritage but as a club arrogant, entitled and along with Barcelona inflated transfer fees to stupid levels.
Well spoken bro! hala madrid

Makes sense when you consider that Pep’s only successes in the champions league was with probably the best club side to ever be assembled, which also included the best footballer to ever play the game, while playing a brand of football that revolutionised the game.
That’s all.

As a RM fan i'll say @21:39 : No problem mate, you keep at it!! We love it when we are getting sub-estimated. Absolutely love it, the mind bending aerobics; in the after match reactions. We cannot accept this "city have no striker" narrative. They have several world class forwards. Liverpool don't play with a striker either, but they still score goals, just like city do. Its just an excuse from those bottlejobs
This is a factoid good analysis
I give this comment and analysis a 8.5/10 👏
Look at Real Madrid. They have Benzema and literally nobody else that can score goals

CTID.

(1) A team of mostly young players with little experience.
(2) A team that almost always win.
If Liverpool wins another Champions League that makes it look even worse for City.
They'll become another PSG🤣
@@cameron9239 They ARE another PSG,look how similar they are:
- Oil money
- Bottling UCL
- Dominating their league
- Became relevant 12 years ago
- Spending loads every season
- Loads of plastic fans
It's almost like they're twin brothers
Going to become a joke? Mate, Monaco, Spurs and Lyon eliminated City in UCL. They have long been a joke in the UCL. Where on earth have you beeen???
@@cameron9239 They already are.
Vinicius is beyond good, better numbers than Mane this season. Considering Real only attack through the left and he’s usually marked by two players minimum, he still finds a way to create
Pep bottles the Champs league so much because he over manages. I think it’s similar to Bielsa. I appreciated the Phil Jackson quote for that reason. Pep messes around with it too much.
It's NEVER over against Real Madrid....as an avid La Liga follower...I've learnt this lesson many times..now English fans know it too
We already knew it
James is sad because it's not an all English final : (
dont overthink so much, Real Madrid is made for this competition....the squad has 13 champions for a reason!...
Going back to the whiteboard, Real Madrid snap that lollipop in half. They seem to flourish under massive pressure.
Cant complain abt militao wasting time when city walker wasted like 10 min and still refused to get subbed
You missed my superchat Jimbo! Otherwise, keep up the good work :-)
Real Madrid is special. I think only real can manage to pull this off. The spirit of this club is the real deal.
The thing about real is they don’t need to play good for 90mins they only need 30 mins to win the game completely out of nowhere
Im excited!
it's nice to see city out. Madrid win's this and it will be one of the best runs ever in champions league history - p$g, chel$ea, manche$ter city and soon liverpool. prem fans on lifesupport
Prem fans could see all 3 euro trophies won. And real are dirty money club lol deluded
How were Madrid poor against all these teams? They all conceded multiple goals against Madrid. Defence is part of Football! They were the ones poor
Do you not understand football? In their biggest game of the season, Real had 0 shots on goal until Rodrygo's equaliser! You think that's playing well? Catch yourself on!!
@@mediacenterman8583 you are the one not understanding football. Playing poor for 89mins doesn't mean much if you still have a minute left! Football is only over when the referee blows!
this is an archetypal example of a bottle job. someone tell me how to look at this in any other way. it was in man city's hands. they were minutes away from the final. and their defence didnt hold out. so they bottled it. simple.
I think there's alot you said right as a Madrid fan. I think city should have killed the game in the FIRST leg, I actually feel the second leg was more even than ppl made it out to be.
Real Madrid have won the spanish super cup, have won la liga with 4 games to go and have beaten psg, chelsea, man city to progress to the ucl final and have a 72.5% this season but are apparently not good 😂
Liverpool will burn themselves out in pursuit of the quad, and have way more games than Madrid to play prior to the final. RM have already won their title, and will be fully rested up and 100% focused on the final from now on in training. Don't see the final being this high scoring goalfest, at least from Liverpool anyway.
It's shocking how these so-called football analysts and commentators can be so subjective and for every time results don't go as expected start making up excuses as they go. Give Real Madrid the credit they deserve and stop embarrassing yourself by trying to show Liverpool is better than Man city.
But Real Madrid were not good…
They were good enough to win.
You missed to say, poor score goals of City considering their opportunities and also give some credit to RM. RM scored six goals in both games, not even Liverpool has not done that. And last game Benzema and Vinicius were not in their best night.
This Real Madrid team is a team built for chaotic matches… to beat them u have to control the game and do not let it become end to end. Otherwise ur gonna lose
Speak now, punny english fans
" english football is superior "
" real is inferior to liverpool and city "
" city and liverpool are the pinnacle of football "
sit down and witness the glory of Madridism
Look at James, as much as i love him, he still fails to appreciate to Real
Two all english finals in three years with four different teams.
@@user-vi6wf4gh9x 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Man City, despite all the money they spent and all the world class players they have, they do not have any players that have won the UCL. Look at Madrid, they’re losing 4-3 but you could tell from kick off that Benz, modric, kroos, etc. They were calm, they’re faces said “ya it’s fine, we can comeback, don’t worry” City don’t. Like you said city have this psychological wall that they keep running into at face level. If they bought a few players that can see above that wall, that can see the other side, then they will win the UCL. Tbh I knew from the beginning of the tie that real would win. Great video James.
People talk about city not having a striker but Liverpool don't and haven't played with 1 for a long time.
Let’s not forget that at the begining of the game Laporte should be sent off for literally slapping Morric. What a moron. He is literally a no name player, he shouldn’t even touch a ballon d’or world class player. It was at that moment I knew city stands no chance. Laporte should never play for them again
James, your right about the city "wall", I've believed for seasons now that Pep won't be happy to win the CL unless it's "his" way
Guy has some weird hate for Real Madrid
I like how Madrid pulled off a fantastic win and the only praise James gave them was Camavinga and complained ab the refs and Madrid players “antics”. Classic English pundit. People always say how much better the Prem is then La Liga yet a La Liga team just knocked out the #1 and #3 teams in the Prem
He isn't wrong though, Madrid weren't as good and City have a history of bottling these games against weaker teams such as Monaco and Spurs
But don't get me wrong Camavinga is built different
Madrid have clearly been second best in every round they’ve played
Madrid did nothing for 90 minutes, how much do you want him to talk about? The fact they only came to life for 5 minutes?
@@user-vi6wf4gh9x I’m not, I believe in the past 5 years the Prem has now reclaimed the title of being the best league in the world, but Prem fans act like there’s some big difference in quality between their league and every other league when that’s simply not the case at all. It’s much closer
Madrid just keep it old school, stay in the game and put up a fight then make a change with fresh young legs with 20 mins to go. None of this JDP, gegenpressing robotic shite. Just stats working the good old 433 and grinding it out with game and man management. Some people are too far gone with all this system shite, we should thank Madrid for providing us the magic of what football really is.
Just absurd. I think I had my first real “Jaw Drop” moment.
You don't need to and frankly should not try to understand Real Madrid. Just enjoy it.
Everything else...all the stats and tactics, are worthless in front of what matter most in football. Belief.
It feels like an even bigger comeback because Madrid didn’t even knock on the door at all until the first goal. They were poor offensively until that moment.
City backline literally melted in 2mins wow....
Pep the cheque book manager BOTTLED for the 6 time with city the most expensive team ever , failed 3 times with a treble winning Bayern München . But respect to the oil clubs slayer Benzema and Real overcome PSG, Chelsea and now peps city .
It’s Real’s destiny to replay a final with Liverpool. The 2022 result will be different this time from 2018.
Thought City did a similar thing to Liverpool in the first half vs Villareal. I think they spent 90mins coasting and not looking to kill the tie opposed to Liverpools 45mins. Thought he was reckless forcing Walker to continue playing.
Wrote this before watching the video and I like how you think James haha
Give credit to Real madrid. They won the league and have beaten psg, chelsea and city now
What’s the app?
cry... how dare you complain on militao wasting time DID you see cancelo and edersson and walkers fake injures , i like you but stop being biased towards English teams...
The english bias in this video is disgusting.
