This video is part of a series comparing the different rust removal liquids that are currently on the market. In previous videos we've compared Rust Release, Evaporust, Metal Rescue and even household vinegar. In those tests we found that Rust Release outperformed the competitors. This video does a straight-up comparison of Rust Release to Rust911.
Check out the video and the time lapse to see how the products worked. Comment below to let us know what you think of the products, the test, or what other products you'd like for us to test.

It would have been better to cut one of those panels in half then use those 2 pieces for comparison. That way you'd have identical test pieces.
black is caused by making FePO3, iron phosphate. it's inert and can be painted.
Nice vid, however not really a good comparison as you have 2 different pieces with different levels of rust. What you could have done is flipped the pieces over and stuck their dry sides into the opposite container.
Realistically though, the Rust911 is very cheap as its concentrated and I usually throw rusted stuff in for a day or two before bothering to check.
Looks like Rust Release is more acidic at 5.5-5.6, so I'm fine with Evapo or R911 being a touch slower if it means I'm not going to lose base metal when I inevitably forget about something soaking for several days or week.
I use the zero rust, but I catalyze it and thin down with a bit of UR 50. It must dry for 24 hours but it turns out a tougher finish.
Can u use this on painted parts of the vehicle
yes
