I’m kinda surprised that Mandy don’t point out the fact that this lone Fire Warrior not only killed more Marines than Shadowsun or Farsight, but he also beat a Daemon Prince and a Lord of Change on the same day. And this was years before Farsight one-shoted a Bloodthirster with his cool magic sword in that one book. I can at least believe that because of the mysterious origins of his sword. But not this. If someone made an official story like this today, where some underpowered xenos or even a lone guardsmen fought and defeated something like a Greater Daemon without any aid, that would send SHOCKWAVES through this community. It’d be like if a damn Snotling defeated Leman Russ by slapping his face.
I remember playing this as a kid and thinking it was so painfully meh. Though Mandalore understates the Chaos teleport behind you strategy. It was so bad, every time a sorcerer vanishes you end up knowing he's gonna be right behind you...EVERY...SINGLE....TIME. Also had a unique glitch myself where the last boss was invincible and ran out of ammo without hurting him, and even if you try to hit him with your whiffle bat he is just slightly out of range, meaning I couldn't beat him. Also no, the autogun is not 'one of the best weapons in the game' it is arguably the worst, it does the same amount of damage as the pulse rifle and lasgun, but also has a solar flare muzzle flash and worse spread. Though the game did feed my addiction to 40K plasma weapons, so there was that at the time.
The autogun is one of the best weapons in the game for two reasons: A) its alternate fire is 100% accurate (a rarity in this game) and B) it has infinite range. Almost every other weapon has a range limit, but the autogun can stand outside of that range limit to alt fire the threat to death.
I don't think there's any like lore or anything to back it up, but it IS a cool effect how the collapsing energy shield like scoops up all the gibs into oblivion when the tech priests die.
It's supposed to be the field itself malfunctioning. Tech priests die when you overload their shield, so even if you never shoot directly at them, they still die.
Coloured door with coloured keys being outdated is not true for me, RE2 remastered proves that you don’t need a narrative reason tied to your obstacles, you just got to make them more rewarding, or at least relieving.
@@shan9886 I know i'm two years late but with how backwards the Imperium of man is I would bet they use color coded keys and doors to cut back on training.
Honestly this irrational hate towards the only race that doesn't treat other races like dirt and you know act like actually intelligent species is annoying.
That's the old Tau, in the current lore they send Imperial citizens off to concentration camps while they replace them on their planets with Tau. Also the Tau are currently being rewritten to be even more xenocidal than the Imperium, since Phil Kelly really wants them to have made a new chaos god.
It's plain and simple medieval feudalism, it's literally the holy roman empire ruled by the Landtag with the emperor in absentia. I will never get how people can mistake this for 20th century fa**ism. It contains the concept of "rule by divine right", the Inquisition and every large campaign is called a crusade. (I could go on how even the Mechanicus has the mindset of medieval monks but that would go too far)
Honestly the Ultramarines teaming up with a xenos faction against a greater threat isn't that unheard of, though it's usually the Eldar. Also say what you will about the T'au, at least they're interesting. Imperium's boring as all hell.
Fire Warrior is sold in steam, you don't need any fixes for it. Yes it has it flaws. However it was cool, had neat art and it was awesome to play for the Tau. A Firre Warrior 2 would be cool.
"Why do they look like Spartans from Halo?"
>Sad Inquisitorial Stormtrooper noises.

Apparently in the novel the game is based on its implied the tau might have been blessed by khorne
the trash warrior i mean fire warrior is over rated our imperial legions should rid these xenos filth once and for all
Now, in Boltgun, we have a lone space marine doing this, but of course, he's the other brand of blueberry.
Believe it or not, but in a later Phil Kelly novel, he writes Kais to be even more overpowered, to the point he solos an entire Space Marine fortress.
@@TheAsylumCatThat's also a game made in the style of Doom and is tongue-in-cheek, whereas Fire Warrior tries to be serious.
I think we're overdue for an Eldar centric game.
I would want dark eldar or exodites

your example proves his point lol, it's a remake of a 90's game

Yeah..... It's a fever dream of a dying Tau's final seconds.
Gods help the Imperium if the Tau and the Eldar ever joined forces.
The constant Tau hate is annoying.
So because I know you love the tau, here is an older rimmy fustercluck where they play as the tau! :)

DO NOT BURDEN ME WITH SUCH THINGS AS FACTS!!!@
sad thing to know that people can not get fashs..stuff and Autocracy in case of the imperium i would say autocracy mixed with a touch theocracy....

The sword is useless, well 🙄. The Tau are HORRIBLE in melee when out of a mech suit
It’s almost impressive that thay made a lord of change Uninteresting and disappointing

Still waiting for a IG themed CoD clone.
Tbh i am sąd this game is so meh. I would love more games in 40k universe told from the perspective of ANYONE BUT imperium
Tbh i liked it but i did get lost one or two times
The imperium is definitely fascistic. In the technical sense.
Big tiddy goth tau waifus' for the win!
The only good tau is a grilled tau.
Kibs, one of Arch's reprobates (lol), has played this garbage before. Cringe.
