Parker Oboe is a true legato Kontakt oboe library performed by Dr. Andrew Parker, Associate Professor of Oboe at the University of Texas.
Recorded at Orb Studios in Austin, Texas, our goal was to create a responsive, agile instrument that could handle a variety of exciting orchestral contexts without any keyswitching.
The Workhorse patch is the all-rounder; performed with a confident mezzo-forte dynamic. Fat Lead is Andrew playing the oboe at full chat -- great when you need bite, attitude and soaring melodies. Emotional offers a lyrical performance at mezzo-piano while Delicate explores the very soft, ethereal side of the instrument.
We've also captured a variety of inhale breaths with subsequent "pre-attack" air/tonguing noises -- really helps sell the performance when peppered in before/in-between phrases.
