Dr Poyu, by looking at your speech, I am satisfied you have mentioned the challenges that are currently faced by the Pacific Island Nations especially the low lying attol islands which are most vulnerable from strong winds and high tide. As for us Papua New Guineans, I confidently would like to say that you have actually started the fight against the climate change in the Pacific and so it is important we maintain that to safeguard our unique cultural diversity. You are our climate change embassedor and hope PNG Minister of climate is looking at this right now to consider some of your plans and start supporting and implement something with you and other of your Pacific colleagues for the common interest and good of Pacific Island Region. God bless you Dr. Poyu.

Climate change is a very citical issue affecting the Oceania region for years. Following the recent dual tropical cyclone in Vanuatu, we are certainly at a turning point where we must take necessary actions/measures to address this issue once and for all. This particular region has sacrificed beyond its capacity for the world yet that is not reciprocated in an environmentally sustainable and friendly manner. To add on, we now have geopolitical and economical focus shifting towards the indo-Pacific region which again highlights the importance of the Oceania region on the global scale. We have to use every means necessary to protect the region at all costs.

Its a simple ordinary presentation. I would rather suggest a more of affected rural/communities specific details of the photos, name the place or country which was hit by extreme weather pattern change impacts and when did it happen and how it affected the social-economical activities and probably some statistic from health sector on new disease increase thus stress on healthcare on these developing countries, some graph comparison of past and present. You are fortunate to represent Oceania, please be more rural community specific and speak about how our rural communities are been threaten by extreme weather pattern. Anyways wishing you the best ahead Dr. Poya.
