It won't. The only thing helping against that is attacking the fear and remembering that overcoming fears takes some time. So look out for for example high visit points close to you and visit them. Slowly get to the corner and you'll feel the adrenaline rush through your body but also that the fear gets smaller and smaller. Take the first step asap, don't think "I'll walk towards it in 5 minutes" because then you won't. I visited a skyscraper once while having a massive fear of heights and I simply walked straight to the edge and held the railing as soon as I was on the top. My hands were as sweaty as they never have been but I think if I would have sat down on the bench first (it wasn't close to the railing), I'd never done the step towards the railing.
