It's wild to think how ships of any style or hull design can withstand the constant pounding year after year much like an airframe of a plane...the stress involved is incredible
Breathtaking as to how much the STERN was getting driven & Swapped by the Trialling swell, very very different sinerio when the vessel is be driven by a trailing swell, knot speed increases dramatically an much more turbulent for crew and ship than steaming head long into a swell!
A following sea is a WHOLE lot different than taking the waves on the bow. Ships are at least designed to take the seas on the bow. A following sea is a wild ride for sure. Nice video, thanks!
Wow! I wonder what the seas were that day? It looked like mountains out there at times. Great song as well! Easily 40 to 50 ft swells maybe more sometimes?
spashibaaaaa!!! one of the BEST videos of this ''genre''... was it on gyroscopic camera? pretty steady footage for such sea conditions. I stopped breathing at 2:35.... absolutely manic, glorious and beautiful :) greetings from a long line of Greek sailors family
Starting at 2:36 and 2 other times before this time, the entire stern gets fully submerged. I do mean fully, Fully submerged folks. From what all I can tell, and I have viewed this part of the view, each stern submerging, it gets at least 10 feet under water. If not more. I am being dead serious folks. It’s almost, A following sea. But it’s favoring the starboard side of the stern juuuuuust a little bit to much to the starboard.
Furthermore, this was easily, a Beaufort Sea State 10 and, 11. At times. The waves are running easily 20 feet to 25 feet. With troughs running between the wave tops, top to top, 50 to 70 feet deep. One can easily determine the depth of the troughs by viewing over the stern, And over on the starboard side right about, amidships.
hi Максим Б I was wondering if I can use a piece of your video, of course as long you own the copyright, for a my compilation of ship if you allow me, I'll post the link to your channel in the video and in the description and also a link to your website if you have one I look forward to your feedback best regards Bruno
Hey Максим Б, would it be possible by any chance to get in touch with you regarding this video (i.e. via email)? I would love to obtain a license to use it if this is possible by any chance. Cheers!
Fantastic waves. Poorly chosen song. The music combines with a car ride, choose a better music, or leave without any music just the natural sound of the place.
Horrible, terrifying waves.....but also absolutely incredible and beautiful.

Absolutely breathtaking. Much respect to you.

These waves get cold my belly😮😮
Nothing makes you more humble than an ocean storm. This footage is eerily magnificent!
Mother nature is just astonishing as well as beautiful and incredible
Good ship, great music, fantastic storm ... git it boyz ...!

Probably the worst seas I've seen posted on youtube so far, that was crazy.
Amazing stern views! Thanks for this great clip. :-)
Just fantastic. Awe inspiring. Crossing this is on my bucket list.
the Music is great, good choice.

Great video - loved the Music too - added to the power of the sea. No piece of music has universal appeal but I like it.
And to think polynesians were first cruising these rough seas 3000yrs ago in their little canoes

WOW! This video needs a LOT more views! Perfect storm.
Drake's Passage is where the Atlantic and the Pacific are having a fight 🥊🥊🥊
Amazing video! Thanks for uploading it.
Which is ocean and route from where this 🚢 ship is passing however it is a nice 👍🙂 📸 video nicely capture 😊 with superb 💕❤️💜 timing 👍❤️
As always, these videos are most broadly appreciated with the original audio or, failing that, none at all.
Just loved it more than 10 times I saw
Omg theese large amount of ocean water scared me, nobody can beat and control the mother nature.
What's wrong with having just the sound of the ocean and the wind ? The music ruined it.
D-Gauss do your own video
I still agree with D-Gauss
For real. :-(
👎👎👎
I agree
loved the footage from astern. Gracias!
That was insane. Really crazy.
Thanks for this video. God knows it's as close as I would ever get to that horror!
Drek pasaaje .me encanta este video .el comandante del buque es un monstruo.peleando con la naturaleza del mar más peligrosos del mundo..
Holy crap, water is level with the right side of the deck, a second later it’s a 60 foot drop 😳.
This ship never gets dirty!
波が壮大で地球が動いているんだって伝わる
Que hermosura¡!!!!!!👍👍👍

The storm in the south pacific ocean is very huge 🌊🌊
00:50 that's enough... I'm never going to that place?!!
2:36 at least 6ft of solid water on aft deck. Insane.

A following sea like this is the most dangerous for heavy loaded ships as they can lose rudder control and flooding is more apt to occur (engine room)
Bollocks.
@@paulmahy Looked like a lovely smooth ride didn't it? Beats the hell out of bashing into it.

Amazing how the water just toss that huge ship from side to side like that.
What seastate! Those following seas are truly amazing. What would it be like on a 20m sailboat? 🤢 🤮 💀
WOW...Pacific iz Pacific...👍👍👍👌
Impresionante !!!!!
Derek..I am crying
Watch it on mute without the shitty music.
you know its big when the commercial haulers break out the camera

DRAKE PASSAGE OR SOUTH PAICIFIC....the drake passage is the sea that separates South America from Antarctica, it can not be the South Pacific
Why is this sea so rough? You need to be cold-blooded to cross it!😱
Subhana’Allah, Allahuakbar..
No pleasure, not even for an experienced sailor............................
🇦🇷✌️
I would just die being on that boat from throwing up!!!😵
I wonder which site of ocean it was... I imagine it near Easter island 😁
Increible.... Moriria del.susto
Bella la musica, peccato che non c'entri 'ncazzo
I thought your boat was sinking or was it
Wow!!
Hello, would it be possible to use this video on Japanese television? Feel free to either comment back or send me an email (see my profile info)
@2:28 - Is that a person flopping around on the deck? If so, what the hell are they doing out there? Trying to die?
I clicked to watch and listen to waves, not to listen to the song. Please keep it real the next time.
At least they were running with the seas!
2.17-2.18 you can almost feel the dizziness of height...
No coloquen musica tonta. Se pierde todo el valor del video. Deberian dejar los microfonos abiertos solo para escuchsr el sonido del viento y las olas
Exactly.
Oh my god what a horrible wave but it looks very beautiful
Its easy to see why building tha Panama canal was so attractive to mariners
What is the title of this song.
Dramatic scenes hence appropriate dramatic background music.
03:09 - Top‑left, in waves. Yellow - windsurfing‑board?
A light in the room reflecting in the window.
How high is that back window off the waterline?
wouw :-)
