This is only my opinion, but I'm not big on VIM tools. Some of their tools have some unique features, and they make a few specialty tools. But they want very high prices for the same Taiwan quality that a lot of other companies offer on most of their stuff. In my view, they're just like all the other "middle of the road" tool companies who contract with a Taiwan manufacturer to make most of their tools for them. When I first checked them out, I was interested in buying some of their stuff. Then, after doing some investigating about the company and seeing the prices compared to other brands of very similar quality and watching some of their videos, I was completely turned off. And I've heard the warranty can be more difficult to deal with than a lot of others out there. Most of their tools are made in the same Taiwan factories as many other brands, and they price them much higher. I'm not hating on their quality or anyone who does like them, and I'm not saying that I'd never own any of their tools because there are a few of them I would have liked to have bought if they weren't so overpriced. For around that money, or just a little more, I'd rather go with Koken on Amazon, or even Olsa, Capri, Tekton, and Icon for a lot less. Again, I'm only stating my personal view. I'm not a professional anymore, and I just have to be very careful about where I put my money. I usually wind up doing a lot of research on something before making a purchase. I really do like the look of those handles, though.

I broke a VIM tripple square bit and called them directly (headquarters was 50 miles from the house). I was told needed to pay something like $10.00 to pay for shipping and handling. I complained and got to talk with one of the big wigs there. I was told if didn't want to pay, to drive 50 miles and swap out the bit. I had the same thing happen with Gearwrench and took a photo, warranty clam and had a new tool in 3 days. Screw VIM.

@@michaelmustic6645 they should have just made an exception for you and shipped it free since it’s just a bit. Sorry to hear that. Maybe I’ll test gearwrench’s warranty next!
