It makes sense to scrimmage with restricted area shots worth 3 points and midrange shots worth 1 point, but how does a 26 foot 4-point line “increase spacing”?
Super question. The basic concept is to get players used to spacing not on the 3-point line but deeper than the 3-point line so catches can be run into or stepped into. The idea is also that that gravity will cause the defense to cover farther away from the basket then they realize.
Great interview
Thank you for listening and supporting!
