Have you ever had a custom boat cover made? mine for my 16' flat bottom cost almost 2600$. he may be able to get one for the blazer made for about 900$ but I still don't think that is cheap per se.
I think that jeeps clutch & transfer case are doomed from them big beefy heavy tires, but that blazer is epic and has pure personality.. Up there with the Dirty Max!
Jim Loucks nah, they’ll hold it. You don’t really have to start really worrying about breaking stuff till you go 37s and up on these jeeps. And then you’ll worry about axles long before transmissions and transfer cases.

It can be the glow plugs not shutting off and overheating the circuit. It is fixed with a new ignition switch or you can try using a toggle switch on them.
Jamie Round I just used a regular 10 gauge wire to jump the ignition fuse. Short solution. I guess I just need to follow every wire and look for exposed wires.
Hey mike, have you thought about black fender flairs and some like black spray on rock guard for the lower part of your panels, the all green is cool but some matte black accents done correctly could make it look more complete maybe, and help if from falling apart lol

hey mike love the offroad builds I did a box jeep in od green and made 1 cardboard stencil of a tiger stripe and put flat black tiger stripes on it it ooked awsom think the blazer would look great with flat black tiger stripes
Why don't you get the back of the blazer welded/plated so it's sturdy, then get a tan softtop canopy for the back to keep the rain out! Would look sick buddy!
Mike ..... The trucks are an interesting diversion but your roots are in Corvettes. You don't like "old" cars but how about a new old car? Check out the Superformance Corvette Grand Sport that Parker got his hands on today. That thing is awesome! Under $200K and blindingly fast. Maybe not Mclaren fast but it's got to be close and it's a GM sanctioned Corvette according to Parker. Imagine driving that car to cars & coffee and to Corvettes at Carlisle. If you could find your way to get a Superformance Corvette Grand Sport your content this summer would be legendary. Sorry for off topic but had to bring this up because you're one of the rare people who could pull this off.
I think if the light bar, bumpers and snorkel were still black it’d actually look pretty good and it would look even cooler with a roll cage and actually removable top but that might blow the budget build
My ignition fuse was blowing in mine from water leaking three the cowl behind the hood and dripping on my fuse panel. Every car wash it happened fixed by replacing the plastic cover..
One of the glow plugs could just be bad if you can't find a short anywhere. I don't think I would risk running a wire rather than a fuse. You don't want your engine bay to catch fire.

You should have a slanted soft top made for the Blazer. A boat cover company should be able to do it relatively cheap.

You should have roll bars made on the blazer that goes to the back with a soft top on it, a little bit like the jeep for a true convertible look.

Glow plugs may be bad or glow plug relay These 2 things can cause enough resistance to blow the fuse on the OBS diesel
Straight axle the blazer and roll bar. Make it a more off road oriented vehicle. Plus itll be a modern day k5
