We just started. We got home today from Big Bear area. We have mostly went alone so far but would love to go with a group next time. I am trying to get my buddy from TX to meet up for Mojave soon.
I usually travel solo, but that is not exclusive. Traveling in a group does provide a little more margin for those adventurous spots where I might otherwise turn back if I am alone :)
Taking photos and video requires a lot of time so prefer travelling solo - that way the group isn't always waiting for you. Most other campers I know like to sit down to watch the sunset - for me, its the time to run around like a madman to get the shot before the light changes ;)
Sorry about Zeke. Used to camp as a family and kids brought friends along. I cannot do it now but it is very nice to see the beautiful scenery. I hope you guys stay safe and healthy and thank you for the video to watch. Caroline will love these when she is older. Be safe!

We've enjoyed both solo trips and meeting new people on bigger group trips. This one looked like fun! Lot's going on there in the desert and enjoyed the scenery a lot. Must try that pizza some time.

I’ve lead groups of people through and even had Dennis Casebier with me doing the narratives the history of the Mojave Road. He wrote the original guide book of the Mojave Road. Sorry to hear about Zeke. We lost a black lab (Jack) to cancer about 4 months ago. He was 12 years old and one of my BEST friends ever. Great video.

It's a balance, right? We've been on some "interesting" large group rides before. Filming is always easier as a solo rig.
