Depending on what you plan doing in the future and how much power you want....you will have to reinforce the car structure and upgrade those brakes. I've got my Punto 75 that I aim to fit in a compressor. I dont want to go crazy. I just search for a bit more power. Keep on with your project mate.
1242 8v can take a lot, like +150hp on stock bottom end reliably, 150hp in a seicento is pretty good. And if you want you can always swap it with 16v version although I don't know how much 16v can take
Can you come to Italian Car Day at brooklands this year? Shame you don’t own an Alfa as they get to park on the banking. If you are coming, get there EARLY to even get a spot to park as it is always well attended.
0.3 bar boost with a T3 turbo on standard engine gave me 78hp did 66000km no problem had 254000km at that stage... found side drafts they used on a UNO for racing and it did 89hp... Engine broke within 3000km. With turbo you will need to remove the CAT beacause of the availible space behind the front panel.
Hi. Just a quick question for you: did your cento come with stock MPI or did you have SPI? I have an SPI 1.1 and I'd love to know if swapping to MPI would be an easy mod. I've read that max power and torque stay the same but they peak at lower RPMs so that would be a nice improvement, plus it's almost impossible to distinguish it from the original system and I think you're even eligible to Euro 4 class
Lost 1ST & Reverse gear not so long ago. At the time It was used for local pizza deliverers took my Seicento s 900 standard off that job, had no probs since. Any idea what cased that to happen.?

get a 1.2 8v head with 866 cam, sandwich plate head gasket, and you can pump it up to 1bar and it will last long (with proper tune ofc)

t-jet engine would be great for that little seicento.
Keep it 8v. Not that much around. I squeesed 80hp out of my old 1.1. The 1.2(fully stripped car) could keep up with a 1.4 16v

Mine was originally an MPI car, being a facelift - the 1242 block is from a Punto SPI, but the block mates to the standard Seicento head 😁👍🏻
