This video aims to bring the poem "I Sit Beside The Fire And Think" of J.R. Tolkien, to life.J.R.R. Tolkien was an English writer, poet, and academic best known for his high fantasy works.
This poem contains the thoughts of an aged speaker who is contemplating his past, present, and inescapable future death. The poem begins with the speaker acknowledging the fact that eventually, a time will come in which he does not see another season.
The poem in this video is narrated by Dave Luukkonen (an award winning voice actor). We took care to edit the audio as perfectly as we can. It took us months of learning before we were able to edit the voice like this.
The video was created by Dream Editing. This is a very iterative process and we test out a lot different footage to give you the best viewing experience. We try not to distract from the poem itself.
