I soak my air plants in my cold freshwater fish tank ~once a week for 10-20mins prior to changing the tank water. Then, after a water change, I use the fish water as a light fertiliser to water my other 50+ indoor plants. happy fish, happy plants.

I have killed my share of Air Plants sorry to say, I kept one for a year, tenderly caring for it only to be told it had been dead for a long time. So needless to say your video was needed. You are such a talented speaker, with a pleasant voice, I do not tire hearing it. I am 75 and have tried to be a caring gardener, with a library of books. I have made the mistake of killing several of my air plants because I watered them at the crown and within a week they rotted and all the leaves fell off. I have now learned to water them upside down, then let them thoroughly drt upside down on the counter before setting them back up on display. I also mist my larger air plants that are too big to sit upside down for watering once or twice per week. So far I am having success after failing with them!

    • @Jack-oc2xq

Thank you! We started carrying small air plants at my job, but was never given too much info on the care and handling of them! Now i know what to tell our customers (and why the airplant that i had last year died!)

Very insightful video, thank you! I've just purchased two, for my boyfriend and me, so I'm pretty excited.
Also, your hair is so beautiful - had to comment on that!

I started out with succulents, but the last few months I've really gotten into air plants, I'm really enjoying these. Interesting 🤔. So far I've gotten two to bloom and one had two blooms the other had three. So far I've just got one baby. Such fun. Thank you.
