Nice to see you captain Valerie at the controls from a beautiful morning in Boise Idaho, as usual great quality video. BTW who does the editing? See you on the next one. Safe travels.
Hello Mike 🤩 thank you 🙏I do all the editing, a lot of work but I enjoy it. Second part of the return will be out soon. All the best ✈️
👍❤️
Thumbs up 👍 it’s been a while since I’ve been on your flight. It feels good to be back in the air. Please understand that events change on every flight, so they are never the same going into your airfield at home you just get better at the video. 😊
Thank you and welcome back ✈️We love traveling with the Baron and flying to different airports. New experience every flight.
Glad you enjoyed this 1st part of our return.
awesome flight Capt. Val ! great videos ! thank you!
Thank you 🤩
Great video ! What a beautiful place and acft !
Thank you so much 😊
Most of the world uses flight levels. I think it is only the US and Canada that have a transition altitude of 18000 feet. In most of the world it varies by airport and the surrounding terrain.
If everyone is on flight levels then it’s not necessary for ATC to advise every aircraft of the QNH (Altimeter setting for Americans). This cuts down on a lot of unnecessary radio traffic since, for example, if you plan to cruise at FL70 you will adjust the altimeter after departure and again just before arrival without having to adjust it after every handoff.
I totally agree!! It makes so much sense. Wish it would be like that everywhere. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
What's with the cigar? That was just weird.
Please explain why you used your handheld radio to call for your clearance. Did you have a problem with your onboard radios? Or was that just to get paid by ICOM?
@@jim7082 You can’t start your engines prior getting your clearance at this airport. From our experience, it is a standard procedure at Brac as well. Using a handheld is better than straining the batteries on the airplane.
In the U.K. there are low flight levels in certain areas
It makes sense. Wish it would be like that everywhere.
Do you carry enough fuel in case you have to fly around Cuba in case they close their airspace?
I’m fairly sure salt doesn’t evaporate with water, so no salt on the Baron
Good question. We carry 190 gallons of fuel (196) plenty to go around Cuba if needed(still in Cuba’s airspace though if you look at the chart), land to clear customs 🛃 takeoff and land at our house. Straight line from FD08 is only 515NM
Hello nice Video cool
Did you trade for a much smaller dog? I noticed Eric had one in hand on a "facebook supplied" video that was clearly not your regular canine companion.....
You probably seen Eric holding a Pomeranian dog. If so, that’s our friend’s dog. 🐕 Her name is Wolfpup 😊
We still have Teddy and Willow ( our black labradoodles) Eve passed away last year.
