Thanks, excellent highlighting of the critical parts (no one has done this before). In another video they stuck a bolt into the pcv valve (thereby reinforcing the riser tube) then used a vise grip on the tube to work it out by rocking it back and forth. This way you don’t risk crushing and shearing the metal riser and making removal more difficult.

Thanks for the comment and thanks for the tip on using a bolt in the PCV Valve. Good luck with your repair.

good graphic for location, good audio and clear instructions. would have like to herd how you went about remove the pcv with your wrench, did you pull straight up etc?
did you have to put some lubricate in there because i say what looked like hard rubber on the pcv?

I used a combination of Amsoil Metal Protector www.amsoil.com/p/mp-metal-protector-amp/?zo=10458 and a bunch of different wrenches, pliers, etc. After I was able to get it a little loose, I used a small vise grip, clamped on to the edge and "rolled" it back slowly.

I cannot get the valve out, going to have auto mechanic try. I had to remove the cowl, did some damage with that. I pulled the PCV and some of the shell holding it broke. With 178000 km and being 16.5 years old not upset, with the damage. Thx for the reply, Insane Oil

It was difficult to get the one in the video out. It took some time and angry words.

There's is no way to get it out without breaking the part when i got mine outit looked like the guy in the videos youjust have to keep pulling until it breaks out

I screwed a bolt in it, then with pliers pull it out. The rubber fitting broke from it and stayed in the cavity. I then rolled like a burrito one of those blue shop paper towels and inserted it in the hole. Then with a thin flat screw driver pried it out. The paper towel was so that the rubber, which now felt like plastic, wouldn't fall inside the engine.

Thats the short version.the real life version is about an hour long lots of cussing some damage and probably gonna have to take it somewhere to get out all the peices that fell in the engine..i might just go to a pick and pull and get a whole valve cover and pvc off and clean that one up good and be sure its working and install the valve cover and pvc in one move if its any easier or just take mine off and put new one in while it's out
.not sure yet but i need it done bad....

@@InsaneOilI'm going to pour alitte alcohol on the rubber to heat it up and see if that will help in the removal not enough to cause any damage but little by little see how it goes .let's roll

The really hard parts are very time consuming and you don't want to watch me fumbling around for 30 minutes making no progress.
