I used a crit build with a dagger for last phase. It’s not as consistent as the prod smacker, but with how fast the dagger hits he was only able to get one attack off.
I will be using this video if/when I get the realization im not very good, maybe that wont happen, maybe I'll beat shmirector dector in a few tries with a bunch of healing items, or I'll use a guide, remember kids, dont be afraid to ask for (or look on the internet for) help lol
The only problem I see in a first-time playthrough would be that you lack the number of upgrading materials, especially ones for tier 3 (Level 8 + 9) unless you are aiming for exactly this build from the get-go and kill Mantis and Broodmother afterwards as you by then can upgrade your weapons with bug-parts. In my playthrough I managed to upgrade only 4 weapons in a single-player game to max level before I did schmector and unlocked the T3-Upgrade alternative and I almost completed everything on the way on mid difficulty, including Broodmother and Mantis. In a co-op game this must be even more limiting your chances to upgrade things.
There are LOADS of upgrades rocks around the map particularly in the fire ant hill that you can use. In a co op game you only get 1 prod smacker and you only need 1 person to attack Schmector the others can just do nothing.
@@Paraly5er Well, I did a 100% playthrough and before killing schmector I was only able to upgrade 4 weapons to level 9. Probably killing Broodmother and Mantis afterwards would be more intelligent as by then you can use bug-parts to create T3-temper materials. Ad only one prod-smacker in co-op: that is fine as only one is needed to perma-stun him and the other one can hit him with any salty weapon (or take care of the adds if some do spawn)
This is awesome! Hopefully they don't patch it cause it's a ton of grind to set up for this build. Can you make another guide for beating him in woa without the prod?
Honestly it's pretty tough. In my world I used roly poly armor with the club of the mother demon sour and it still took me around 10 attempts. You could maybe do it with the sour staff but I haven't tested it too much
Tried it this way, it almost worked for me. What I did was/use Ox Beatle headgear Ox chest plate No lower gear as it broke before the fight Ox crossbow Sour arrows, splinter arrows Ox axe for ants Use sour arrows till ants spawn, kill the two ants, quickly attack the director till green lasers come. Hide in a corner and fight till ants are called in again. I killed all ants and died with one hit left on the director. Tried again and ignored the ants when he calls everything in at the end. I killed him with one hit left on my HP. Bring bandages and lots of smoothies
@@Paraly5er True enough. But I couldn't replicate the same battle as seen. I wasn't getting any criticals even with the mutation. I had to improvise. I'll attempt this again for clarification
On Whoa! the main thing is to have a shield because you can block all his attacks. You don't even have to perfect block. Black Ox Hammer as weapon. I had 8 sour but it doesn't even matter as long as it's a decent 1h weapon. The other weapon you need is a 7 or 8 spicy staff for when the spiders come out. couple 3 hits with the staff and they go down. Use block after every shot to cancel the cooldown. Stand in a corner during lasers, bait him with a spicy shots, switch to hammer to whack him. Last phase switch to staff whenever spiders come out and you're not in danger of being hit by a lightning ball. If a lightning comes at you, or you think you're in danger, switch to hammer and shield and just block even if spiders are there. If Schmector tries to melee you with his zap, also switch to hammer and shield and just hold block. Use consumables to keep your health up in the last phase. Don't bother whacking him with hammer. He should die from spicy splash from you murdering all the spiders he brings in. Mutations probably don't matter but whittle wiz is good, extra stam and parry master. Armor you want wiz hat and whatever your best other armor. Consumables: Beefy Slop at least 20, a couple of sticky human food and liquid rage and a black ox food. If you have the wiz hat, try to perfect block the spiders to get a damage boost on your staff.
How do you get the power droplet? I could only imagine how difficult beating all the mixers would be in woah mode to unlock that prod smacker. Would be cool to see that breakdown. Keep up the great work. ( and stop hatin on ranged 😂🤣)
If you run crit builds you should be able to stop him from doing any attacks as when you land a crit it stops the enemy mid attack (kind of a mini stun). So fast swinging weapons with spider slider and coup de grass would work well
I used my widow build with poison and bleed assassin mutation and he seemed to have his health dropping when not attacking? So poison or bleed something was working some atleast. Medium Difficulty though
@@dustingross150 Ranged builds are just sitting on a rock and shooting stuff with no chance of getting hit. Using melee requires skill as you have to block enemy attacks. The first build in the video DOES require skill to use. The 2nd build is really OP but it takes a LOT of effort to get the build in the game.
Me and a friend had him down to about 1/4 health and he disappeared and said we beat him. There was no body to harvest so we never got a chip and now we can’t fight him again. Is there anyway to fix this?
Did one of your friends die? If so this would reduce his health bar as less players in the arena potentially causing him to die. Only way to fix this would be to load an old save from before you killed him sadly

Tried it this way, it almost worked for me.
What I did was/use

I can't lie poison is still probably the best way to kill it using melee. This same build I used here might work too.

Don't think so as the Pinch Whacker doesn't hit with the electric attack every time I don't think. Haven't used the pinch whacker too much though
