বুঝলাম না এখনে নকল কে করেছেন? কোনান ডয়েল নাকি প্রিয়নাথ? প্রিয়নাথের নকল করবার দরকার ছিলো না। উনার কেসই যথেষ্ট ছিলো। কিন্তু আরো কয়েকটি গল্পে মিল পাওয়া যায় অথচ তিনি নিজের নামে চালালেন। হতাশ হলাম।

Uncanny resemblance with "The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb", from Sherlock Holmes story written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Question is...who copied whom since the two were more or less contemporaries.
This is one of the cases ( at least 5 I observed) wherein the plots stay unusually similar.
There is necessity for an inquiry, and eventually, one is to take the responsibility of stealing ( as long as no one is acknowledged) other's work.

Prityonath was inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle, so this real life story may not really be that. But, I am sure the readers of that time enjoyed his works

A good indepth study might conclude who copied whom. " Inspired" word itself is too polite for the offence of plagiarism. Yes both of the writers earned large group of readers , yet, not giving credit to the original author is odd n offensive.
