No way can you drive any faster than around 15 mph......and why would you want to. We savoured the pleasure of this drive in 2006, part of a lifelong dream to see 'cowboy' country. As a kid growing up in the UK during the fifties I never dreamt I'd actually get to see Monument Valley....but hey I did the trip with my wife Sue to celebrate my 60th birthday. So worth the wait.... enjoy...don't rush!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Watching this beautiful video, I'm thinking why would anyone come to such a majestic place & drive at such speed? Cruise & enjoy the view, if not stick to the freeway 🤔🤔😎
When were you there? I was there 7 years ago and they had put huge rocks at all the pull over places. That made it really difficult to stop and get photos.
Hey Tak, Great video :) I had a question. I was told that many "Routes" in monument valley can only be accessed by a licensed Navajo Tour guide. Did this route have that requirement? I just want to do a drive by tour and not an indepth tour of the place. Thanks for getting back to me :)
John, This route is opened for everyone and takes no fee. Yes I also heard that the licensed Navajo guided tour takes you to places usually closed to the public and is very popular for hotel guests.
Depends on the price of your Mustang 😁Bumpy and rough at the beginning and the end, well paved in the middle. I think optional tours are also available.
Great video! question, did you do this drive with an SUV or a standard sedan? I'm planning on taking a trip there but trying to figure out what kind of car I'll need to rent.
Say in the video title that the video is Time-lapse. That way people will know. Some people can't bio-physically handle that kind of stimulation, so please be upfront and say it's time-lapsed in the title.

Lots of movie history there.

Wifey and i went there two weeks ago thx to your vid!
Play it at 1/2 speed. Music and visuals really become awesomized.
Well, when Sue and I go, we should also take those roads. Thank you for this.

How would this drive fare on vehicle with low clearance like Mustang?
Depends on the price of your Mustang 😁Bumpy and rough at the beginning and the end, well paved in the middle.

Go for it, the adventure and experience make it.
I turned the volume down and watched it at .25 speed.

We did this with a Mazda5, minivan. I think an SUV is the best but any car is OK if it is a fine day. Enjoy :)
Hello.. Can this ride be done faster ?
Yep you can do this faster. We stopped at every spot and took photos😁
Beautiful it's a pity it was so fast a little slower would have been better
